Fortnite Could Soon Get Rideable Animals

Epic Games has added some big things to Fortnite Battle Royale in season 6. Fortnite players have received in-game pets and Quadcrusher, the anti-building vehicle. Now, it appears that the game developer is ready for another big step and another innovation for the most popular battle royale game.

According to the game data, the video game creator may soon release rideable animals in Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic Games may have hinted at this with the Giddy-Up skin in the season 6 Battle Pass. This skin looks like a player is riding a llama, which is something that could soon become a possibility.

Popular data miner @FNBRLeaks has discovered some interesting game files recently. The data miner shared the files on Twitter, showing that the Fortnite developer could soon add rideable animals to the game. However, this feature is nowhere close to complete, according to the Twitter user.

The data miner has found the folder named “Antelope” in the “DrivableVehicles” folder. This is the same folder that contains data for the All Terrain Kart and the Quadcrusher, which makes us believe that a new vehicle will be added soon.

It is important to note that the new vehicle, or a rideable animal, may not be added soon. The presence of this folder simply indicates that Epic Games is working on adding something new to the game. Some data mined items and features have never made it to the game, while some of them took months to be released.

Despite this, there is a good chance that the Fortnite developer adds rideable animals. After all, these mobility items would fit the Fortnite style of gameplay. Additionally, Epic Games could make some extra profit by selling different animals as cosmetic items.

On the contrary, there may be too many mobility items in the game at the moment. The developer would most likely need to remove some of them before adding rideable animals. In the end, the map isn’t that big, and more mobility items would ruin the balance in the game.
