Gamers who enjoy different FPS franchises tend to argue with each other constantly about which is superior. In fact, these rivalries can get to be pretty bitter. But it can sometimes be a different story with game developers. In fact, Mark Rein, the VP and co-founder of Fortnite developer Epic Games, actually turns out to be a fan of the new battle royale game Apex Legends by EA and Respawn Entertainment.

In a world where fans of gaming franchises can become such bitter rivals, it’s great to see competitors supporting each other like this. The two games do have a lot in common, but they have a lot of differences too. There is no reason why gamers who enjoy Fortnite can’t also enjoy Apex Legends, and vice versa.
Plus, the differences between the two games are enough to draw different gamers altogether. This isn’t uncommon in the FPS universe. Indeed, EA isn’t concerned about Apex Legends stealing Battlefield 5 Firestorm’s thunder.
