Fortnite Battle Royale players will have a chance to witness another live event this season. As it has already been leaked, the upcoming live event will cause big changes to the in-game island. However, it turns out that it will happen sooner than many players have expected.
Furthermore, it appears that the event will be much bigger than what players are expecting. While the destruction of Coral Castle has already been leaked, the latest leak reveals that a few other places will be destroyed as well. Let’s check out the newest leaks!
The upcoming Fortnite live event will be huge
The event countdown will hit zero on Friday, August 6, at 6 PM Eastern Time. While most players expected the event to happen in the last week of the season, which would be in early September, it appears that Epic Games has a different plan. Considering that there will be five more weeks of Season 7 left after the event, the game developer most likely has a long-term plan after it happens.
According to HYPEX, one of the most popular Fortnite leakers, Slurpy Swamp and Corny Complex will be destroyed beside Coral Castle. Slurpy Swamp has barely gotten any changes since the release of Chapter 2, so this change will be good. However, Corny Complex was just added to the game with the current season. Even though it looks similar to Frenzy Farm, it serves a different purpose and is included in the storyline.
Other Fortnite leaks reveal that these places will have different phases of destruction. For example, certain objects in the area will move to a different place after some time. Furthermore, another leak reveals that these places will be “abducted” by the Mothership. At the moment, no one knows what will happen after the event. However, it’s less than two weeks away, so we will find its outcome out soon.
The Ariana Grande event?
Before the storyline event on August 6, Fortnite Battle Royale players might get another live event. Some leaks have revealed a July 31 event which could be an Ariana Grande concert.
However, Epic Games may not have added new files regarding this event in the v17.21 files, which could mean that it has been postponed. On the brighter side, there are chances that these files are simply encrypted and will be decrypted before the weekend.
