Fortnite Season 2 Changes: Vaulted & Unvaulted Weapons

Fortnite Season 2 has come out on Sunday, March 20. After a quiet week, Epic Games has released another fantastic season. However, for the first time, there haven’t been any massive leaks about the new season. Fortunately, the new content did not disappoint as the game developer has put a lot of effort into it.

Besides massive changes to building and aiming, the Fortnite Battle Royale creator has also changed the loot pool. Several items have been vaulted, but there are also some of the old items that have been brought back to the game. Let’s check out the biggest loot pool changes in Fortnite Season 2!

Fortnite Season 2 vaulted items

At the start of Season 2 of the third chapter, Epic Games has vaulted several items from Season 1. Players can no longer find the Heavy Shotgun in the game, nor can they find the Machine Pistol. The Flare Gun, a popular utility for scanning and burning enemies and structures, has also been vaulted, as well as the Clingers.

The Striker Burst Rifle is a new weapon that has replaced the MK7 Assault Rifle in Fortnite Season 2.

Unfortunately, the MK7 Assault Rifle is no longer obtainable. Epic Games has brought an improved version of the Burst Assault Rifle to replace the aforementioned weapon. Just like the MK7, the new burst rifle has the first-person scope!

Many items have been unvaulted at the start of the new season

The Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle has come back to Fornite! This amazing weapon has returned with several changes as it now shoots faster, but it deals less damage. The Drum Shotgun has also come back with a few changes. This close-range weapon now fires slower but has a slightly increased damage, tighter spread, and better damage falloff. The Revolver has been unvaulted in the new season as well and it’s now more accurate and fires faster at the expense of lower damage.

Fortnite Season 2 players can find Remote Explosives (C4) once again. This time, the explosive deals additional damage to vehicles. Two Exotic weapons, the Thermal Scoped Revolver and the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle have also been included in the pool loot.

Shockwave Grenades have returned at the right time and they are essential now when players cannot build.
