Fortnite Season 8: Unvaulted & Vaulted Weapons and Items

The newest Fortnite Battle Royale season has brought many new changes to the game. The season, which was released after a 13-hour downtime, brings a new type of weapons. Furthermore, Epic Games has improved the crafting system and players can now craft Mythic weapons!

Beside adding new weapons and items, the video game developer has also removed a few of them. Additionally, it turns out that players will be able to vote to unvaulted several items as the season progresses. Let’s check out all the loot pool changes added at the start of Season 8!

New and unvaulted items in Fortnite Season 8

The new Fortnite Battle Royale season brings Sideways weapons. To obtain these weapons, players need to visit a special area called the Sideways. At the moment, there is a rifle and a minigun, but Epic Games is working on adding a melee Sideways weapon as well. What makes these weapons unique is their upgrade system. Players can upgrade them all the way to Mythic rarity by spending cube fragments.

Shadow cubes, which were first added in Chapter 1 – Season 6, have made their way back to the game as well. Furthermore, players can now catch a Shadow Flopper from fishing. This fish has the same effect as the shadow cube.

Lever Action Shotgun and Charge Shotgun have been unvaulted at the start of the new season. The Burst Assault Rifle can now be found as the loot floor and players no longer have to craft it. Finally, the Harpoon Gun has also returned from the Vault and players can obtain two unvaulted sniper rifles, the Automatic Sniper Rifle and Dragon Breath’s Sniper Rifle.

Vaulted weapons

Epic Games has vaulted the Tactical Shotgun at the start of the new season. This move makes sense considering that the Lever Action Shotgun is back, but it will take some time for players to get used to using another semi-automatic shotgun.

The Heavy Assault Rifle (AK47) has also been vaulted. This weapon was replaced by the Sideways Rifle which works in a similar way but is more powerful. Finally, the Hand Cannon is no longer obtainable in Fortnite Battle Royale and it appears that Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is also gone.
