Fortnite’s Season 4 Helps Fortnite Mobile Draw in $50 Million

Fortnite has just entered Season 4, and there’s plenty of hype surrounding what’s been added to the game. It may have only just debuted on May 1, but that hasn’t stopped the mobile version on iOS from crossing the $50 millin landmark in total revenues, driven to the top from the hype freight train that is Season 4. A new report from analyst Sensor Tower has the details, which may frankly be pretty shocking.

Fortnite was previously sitting at $25 million in just 30 days in revenue from its iOS version, and it’s only taken a mere two weeks to bring that total up to double — those are staggering numbers, and considering the fact that the game isn’t even on Android yet, it’s almost scary to think about what kind of money could be made when that finally does happen.

Fortnite Mobile Spending

According to Sensor Tower analyst Randy Nelson, “This rapid quadrupling of revenue resulted from a significant number of players laying out about $10 worth of in-game currency apiece for Fortnite’s Season 4 Battle Pass, which unlocks additional content and other perks for completing specific challenges during the season.” In short, players adopting the Battle Pass was a significant factor in bringing this total up when it comes to money the mobile version has made.

Fortnite is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to money, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. With an entirely new set of challenges and other content to wade through out there right now, it seems like there’s nothing out there that can match it at present. When the Android version of the game releases, it’s about to get even gnarlier for the other free-to-play titles out there.
