Epic Games gave out a lot of free items in this season of Fortnite. The Christmas-themed “14 Days of Fortnite” event rewarded players with tons of cosmetic items. From emotes to Back Blings, players received all sorts of free items of different rarities this seasons. There are tons of Epic and Legendary items in the item shop as well. Mythic items like the Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Blade are even rarer than Legendary items. But wait, there’s another rarity even rarer than the rest of rarities that you probably don’t know about.
Fortnite’s Transcendent Rarity Item
Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi has found a secret item in game data files, but only certain people can use it. The item is called “Dev Test Asset” and it is a Test Glider. The interesting thing about the item is that only Fortnite developers can use it. The item itself doesn’t look really special and if it was in the current version of Fortnite, it would be an uncommon item. The item’s description says “Used to test new gliders” and it has a pinkish background. Here’s the secret item:

Being the creators of the game, the Fortnite developers have the ability to add any kind of items they want for themselves. The Dev Test Asset, as the name suggests, is probably used for testing new cosmetic items before they are added to the game. Every new item passes through a certain test because it helps developers find bugs and abnormalities in them.
Fornite developers test new Gliders with the item in the above image. So, it’s possible that test assets for other cosmetic items also exist. Whatever the case may be, items of “Transcendent” rarity are never coming to the live version of Fortnite: Battle Royale.
