    Terminator: Resistance

I just finished this game and I have to say it's pretty amazing, especially for the budget and the size of the development team. But all mainstream sites that even bothered to review it uniformly said that it is a terrible game. Well 94% of gamers says otherwise. Here is my take on it.

  3. Did you ever discover a new favorite musical artist from a video game?

  4. If players dislike something about a video game story, there is sometimes extreme pressure on devs to change it. You don’t see this that often with books, movies, etc. Personally, I think this is rather ridiculous—creators make the products they want, market demand determines if it sells, end of story. Debates about story content are an issue of subjective values, not quality.

  5. if you could have one sweeping change in the video game industry, what would it be, and why? For me, it would be an end to high-pressure crunch time.

  6. I don't care that the game sucks, Final Fantasy XIII has some of the most unique and memorable enemy designs I've seen in a game.

  8. I would go with imgBB. It's easy to upload and don't have hell no. of ads like in lightshot. Earlier I used to upload in LS, but now I found imgBB is much better than any other image uploading sites.

    GTA 6

I fell like I've been a tape recording on loop for at least half a decade saying the same thing I'm about to say now. Ignore anything you hear about GTA6 that doesn't come from Rockstar and/or Take Two themselves. The amount of forum posts, articles, social media posts and YouTube videos (People have made successful YouTube channels by faking news about this game) that exist as clickbait to get traction through this game that hasn't even been confirmed to be in development is almost as amazing as the sheer amount of people who keep falling for it. Advice not just to @Heatman, but anyone else who is fortunate enough to read this, because it will change your life. Ignore this crap. This game does not a release date, it doesn't have a release window, it does not have a protagonist, it does not have a setting, it doesn't even exist at all until Rockstar Games or Take Two Interactive says it does. Any "news" on GTA6 from any other source is not credible, and the sooner you all stop enslaving yourselves to this clickbait, the better it will be for your mental health.

    Terminator: Resistance

I liked your review, I'd never heard of it before but it kinda sounds like a linear version of a Fallout game. I'm gonna look more into it.

  11. @killamch89 and @Razor1911 mentioned in another thread moving around while playing fighting or driving games (i.e. leaning while driving) as an immersive thing. Made me curious. How many people here tend to do this versus sit completely still while gaming?

  13. Are you a fan of Dragon Force? I listen to them sometimes and their music is supposedly heavily based on gaming.

  14. I forget what South Park character said it, but I think it went, 'If they made changes to the Colosseum every year, soon it would just be another big, douchy stadium.' It was the Raiders of the Lost Ark episode. The same applies to not changing games that are masterpieces.

  15. That's all I use it for. Do they just look for things to add onto consoles to increase price? I buy the system for games. Give me a choice to buy a standard system with nothing on it except the disc drive, and the rest can dig their forks deep into the cabbage of every other add on feature. Seriously, I have no use for anything but the gaming part.

  16. I want a far cheaper console, even if all it could do was play a game and save.

  18. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it's Cyberpunk 2077 that offers such detailed surfaces with close up cover up.

  19. Yeah I believe that to some extent the video games players opinions should be heard but it shouldn't be the 100% yardstick of what the video games developers should do.

  20. Creators should be free to create what they originally intended to instead of being pressured into pleasing players whose opinion might change on a dime even if they get what they originally asked for.

  22. I do a different kind of charity, one that I've taken upon myself. I buy packs of water a lot. The kind that are like 40 bottles for $3. Then I go around and give them out to the homeless and people working outdoors during the summer. The days get extremely hot and humid here, and the water is a requirement. This way I know for a fact that it's going to those that need it. I'm wary of donating money to any charity, because (as already stated) all too often it goes into the pocket of the administration, instead of to the charity itself. They cook the books to try to hide it, but it doesn't always work.

  23. I can't stand people who follow trends. It says to me that their identity is so weak that they have to wait for someone else tell them who they are. Granted I have had interest in some things that were trends, but even after the trend was done and over with, that doesn't mean I lost interest in it. For example I love fidget spinners. I have a bunch of them and am always on the lookout for more that I like. Though since the trend has died, they've become extremely hard to find.

  24. donate to local charities where I'm from. I generally avoid Red Cross after seeing that over 55% of the donations went to "administration" fees after a massive event that happened in my area. So many donations didn't make it to people in need and so many got screwed out of much needed supplies. So I started focusing on other charities instead.

    Reality shows

In general, I don't enjoy reality TV. I don't know if it's just more common in the American ones, but I find reality shows to have a lot of manufactured drama between the contestants. Everyone seems obsessed with the cash prize and are looking to argue with everyone and take them down. At least it's edited to look that way. That being said, one of my favorite shows to watch is the Great British Bake Off . No cash prize and everyone seems to help each other. Nice is the default, which I love. I've also learned a lot about baking. I’ve watched a few other baking competition shows like Sugar Rush and Zumbo's Just Desserts. I wasn't over the moon about them, but they filled the void a bit while waiting for the next session of Bake Off.

  26. When I do play, which isn't as often anymore, I do sit still for the most part but I am also one of those 'leaners' lol It's like we are willing it to go faster when we use our whole body! I tend to be a leaner for TV shows as well.

  27. After finishing GTA 4, i realized you could have girlfriends and break up with them too, but shouldn't be a big deal since they aren't a part of the storyline xD

  28. Seymour in FFX. you legit fight this dude like 4-5 times in different forms that get more and more annoying to deal with in the story.
