  1. Welcome This is the PS+ Update Thread, a place to keep up to date on the latest offerings from PlayStation's subscription service. This opening post will be updated regularly to show what is currently available for PS+ customers along with details of what dates these games are available. Full details from PlayStation here. Of course this thread is also available to discuss rumours, games you want to see added and how you feel about the current line up as well as a place to discuss how you feel about the service in general. So, here are the currently available on on PS+ as the Monthly Games. What is PlayStation Plus? PlayStation Plus is a kind of subscription that grants access to online play, exclusive discounts and access number of games per month across PS4 and PS5 selected by the powers that be at Sony as part of the package. They can also be purchased as shorter terms subscriptions, but these will be a little more expensive per month than the annual cost. Basically, it's way for these companies to subsidize the running costs of their online services and earn additional revenue at the same time. The "free" games and discounts are basically there to sweeten the deal and make it worth buying. The service also includes a licence to play online multiplayer, although some games are exempt from this (For example, subscription based MMO's (like FFXIV), but most games you have to be subscribed to these services to play games online. The choice is not yours in what games in included in the package. Sometimes they're superb, sometimes not so much or you may already own them. You only retain the right to keep playing games you acquired through PS+ so long you're still subscribed. The benefits of the service? The overall cost of the games offered if you were to buy them is significantly higher than the cost of the subscription. Frequently, one month's offering would cost more to buy from the PlayStation Store than the annual subscription, so there is a lot of value to be found in these services. PS+ Essential PS+ Extra PS+ Premium Any questions or if this thread needs updating and hasn't been then let me know, but please don't do so until these games are available, not when they're announced as the thread will only be updated when the games actually change. Also please check out the other threads we have for Games with Gold and Epic Games Store to stay up to date with those as well. Feel free to keeps using the Video Game Deals to tell the VGR community about other offers you have come across. Updated: February 1st 2024

  3. Do you play online games to keep up with old friends? I just started playing Minecraft with my high school BFF who lives across the country from me. It’s been a great way to hang out again virtually.

  4. Since I switched from playing the PS3 version of Skyrim to the free PS5 upgrade of my PS4 edition, I’ve been surprised at how much more immersive and atmospheric it feels. As far as I can tell, this is partly from my mods, but also partly just from the better frame rate and a slightly wider field of view. What technical changes have you noticed can increase immersion in different versions of a game?

  5. It's a great way indeed Stacey, unfortunately for me, my friends aren't Minecraft favorite. I am a Minecraft lover, I love playing around the game when I feel good going into online games.

  6. Some gamers even seem to love older games and appreciate it more than new games. @The Blackangelstands out well in this regard.

Hungary. Average monthly income was about $1300 in 2021, which might seem extremely low to people from western countries. But it's above average here. Minimum wage is around $450.to put it in perspective.

The first console that I can remember was the NES I think I was probably 4 or 5 years old I dont remember, but I do remember playing the first Super Mario game and Excite Bike the first day that we got the console. You should create your own interview section as well https://www.vgr.com/forum/forum/14-member-interviews/

  9. @StaceyPowers you once told me that you're a disabled how true is that? It's a pleasure reading the info through the link, I believe those who has mobility issues gonna enjoy VR system often. It will enable them regain where they fell short.

  16. An oculus quest is $300 for 128 GB of data. 256 GB is $399 dollars. It comes with the two touch controller. It's a great price. The games are fairly priced. VS. You get an XBOX series S for 300 with 512gb. However, if you add the controllers it costs more of course. VR is not overhyped at all and until you experience VR it's hard to understand how immersive VR really is. You feel like you are actually there. I play games but also exercise on VR. Boxing and hitting targets has strengthened and healed my knee. The games you actually feel like you are fighting and you are on the character you are playing. Don't knock it until you try it. That is not something I'm not super fond of. I don't go on VR to watch movies. I have watched a couple thought and you do feel like your at the theaters. I prefer being able to snack seeing a screen not on VR.

  17. Very nice. Congrats! Dual shock controllers do make for quite the experience. --- My grandma was the best and always got me games and consoles. However, the best gaming gift would have to be a game boy color from my grandmother. That is what made me I realized I like gaming so much. I no longer have the gameboy but I have fond memories playing it.

  21. It's fond of many gamers to talk shit when it comes to video games, claiming to expert via a particular one, that no one can defeat him or her via the game. To be frank, no one is best for a particular game, their are others still ahead.

  22. Welcome to the Member Interview forum. This section is here so the members of the VGR community can get to know each other a little better. We have just a few simple guidelines for this forum: 1) If you want to make your own topic, you are more than welcome to do so. If you don't want to make a topic and just want to ask other people questions, that is fine too. 2) When asking other people questions, please use good judgment and think about what you are asking before you ask it. 3) If there is any particular posts that you would like removed from your topic, PM a staff member. 4) You don't have to answer a question if you don't want to. 5) Have fun 🙂
