  3. Ok I seem to have missed quite a lot here! I had to Google it as well.... and I still don't quite understand them... It looks like two recorders put together! I read your explanation and it seems like an interesting instrument but they seem like a lot of work. I almost feel like I'm cheating picking an instruments ans "easy" as guitar and bass. Which brings me to.... ... this. I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of brass instruments like this. To me they only really work as part of large groups and for the effort that it takes it doesn't seem worth it. Don't get me wrong I respect the hell outta this kid and anyone else who puts the effort in to learning it. But, I would probably put that time into something a little more versatile that you might make more of a career out of like the sax, flute or clarinet. Now I kinda feel like I owe VGR an apology, thanks to my initial post here this has gotten WAY off topic! I would like this conversation to continue but perhaps on a new or existing topic on the music sub forum instead.

  4. If that's the case, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about because for him to be recommended, he's good.

  5. There is a possibility that's true, since they had to pull it down, it shows they have an interest to protect.

  6. Yeah you got a point. My knowledge and memory of it is so vague it barely feels like it happened at all, it's probably a more painful memory for them.

  7. Please spare them bringing up the old horrible memory for them because I'm very sure that it wasn't going to easy for them at the time when it happened.

    Livestreams

Why people always think that streaming and making money. Trying to earn money or even thinking about it is a bad idea and you will end up even worse. stream everyday or 3 times a week in a game that you love doing that makes you talk and answer the chat and think about your views numbers. even if you had eight people sub to your channel a month is better then nothing

  9. I feel like a need to respond to this and make myself clearer a bit. You see there is a difference between collecting videogames and just buying videogames that you want to play. Let me give an example : When somebody buys 2 brand new games at let's say 60$ a piece that's 120$ total, their is a good chance those within the year are worth those games are worth next to nothing. Sure you may see me buying a stack of current gen games but all those i get on sales or whenever the price drops. When you spend 120$ on digital games you're even more fucked because you can't sell these on now can you. When somebody who collects videogames buys an older game for 120$ or 2 older games whatever you prefer to get. Those games have proven that they hold their value over time and chances are you are going to lose money on them is not even that big. if you buy one or two collectible games at 60$ a piece now and want to sell them off let's say in 3 years, i'm sure with how prices for retro games you might even make a small profit in the end. Surely not every retro game will be like that so you have to know what you are doing. I've never seen collecting videogames as a waste of money, neither as an investment but it's always nice to know some stuff is worth x amount more of what you paid for it and like i said i work hard and my bills are always getting paid in time, don't have any debt and aslong as i can afford it and you know i'm happy with that why would i quit.

  10. I'm never playing trumpet 🎺 after watching that. It's way off my league completely.

  12. The amount that FIFA was demanding for the name and partnership was absurd. Whilst I don't like the new name they have chosen, I like that they didn't just go ahead with it. Now FIFA can enjoy not having that money because not many developers will be able to quickly start a new football game that rivals EA's version.

  13. Starting as a tank is a bad move, really. Tanks are party animals, and don't do well by themselves, due to their lack of damage output. Not that they die, but they take longer to kill things, which gets tedious. It's better to level as a somewhat more damage-orientated character, and transition to full tankiness later. Good tip that I can say also, Don't Rush. Take your time and enjoy the journey.

  14. One often overlooked consequence: FIFA was a restraining influence on EA, who've been desperate to ruin the simulation aspect by integrating NFTs, MTX etc. into the base experience. FIFA demanding $300 million for nothing more than to use the word FIFA seems completely out of touch and delusional. It doesn't matter if EA could financially manage it. Its fucking asinine. And who would pay the cost to make sure the game is financially viable? The consumer.

    Gotham Knights RPG

The Arkham games were one of my favorites, so detailled, good voice acting, dark atmosphere. So immersive, with the best combat stealth and traversal in the genre imo. I was hyped after the first gameplay demo of this one, but now I'm gonna wait for a sale probably. It looks flashy, clunky, slow and a bit dull to be honest. Coop with friends is nice but can take away immersion easily, like in Dying Light 2 for instance, especially when you're jumping around like a fool in an open world. It also kinda takes away free exploration when traversal is so easy. If the game becomes as polished as the Arkham series it might still be worth it

  16. I think non diagnosed or temporary anxieties relating to the pandemic and not going to school, kids are turning to video games to help them which is an easier accessed hobby. Diagnosed anxieties or other mental health issues should be treated case by case and it's interesting to hear gaming can help for some.
