    Road 96

I've been waiting for this game to come out physically which happened 2 weeks ao, when i saw the trailer it immidiatly peaked my curiousity. Seems like a game that deserves more attention so i'll do my part. I've yet to play it so can't really comment on it. I'll just quote the game discription : Summer 1996, Today is the day! You hit the road. Adventure. Freedom. Escape. Run. Flee the Regime. Try to survive. On this risky road trip to the border, you’ll meet incredible characters, and discover their intertwined stories and secrets in an ever-evolving adventure. But every mile opens up a choice to make. Your decisions will change your adventure, change the people you meet, maybe even change the world. There are thousands of roads across the authoritarian nation of Petria. Which one will you take? FEATURES Road 96 is a crazy, beautiful road-trip. The discovery of exciting places, and unusual people on your own personal journey to freedom. An ever-evolving story-driven adventure inspired by Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Bong Joon-ho. Made by the award-winning creators of Valiant Hearts and Memories Retold. Announced as part of the OMEN Presents initiative from HP Inc. Moments of action, exploration, contemplative melancholy, human encounters and wacky situations. Set against a backdrop of authoritarian rule and oppression. A stunning visual style, a soundtrack filled with 90s hits, and a thousand routes through the game combine so each player can create their own unique stories on Road 96. Check out the trailer below :

    Football Manager

Is anyone here a fan of the gaming series Football Manager? (previously known as Championship Manager) I haven't seen anyone discuss this on here but be cool to see if anyone else does play it. I'll be honest, I don't play any of the newer Football Manager games as they're too complex for my liking. I much prefer the older ones and I'm currently playing the 2011 version, managing my home town club of Gillingham. We are in League Two so 3 leagues below the Premiership. My aim is to make them the best team in the game... Going to take a while!

  4. Assuming what you were actually trying to say was "if you are thinking I'm talking out my ass", my response is: Whoa! I Calm down! I never said, or even hinted you we're lying about that. Where the he hell did that come from? For one reason or another, I didn't get that you talking about a new, factory sealed copy. Sorry I didn't pick up on that, but it doesn't really change my point. When stores overstock on physical copies of games, they well put the on sale sometimes just weeks later at discounted price when they don't sell to make room for new stock, that was also a common thing back in the day like it is now.

  5. I think the point @Boblee was trying to make was to take your time and absorb the information in a post before you respond. I'm going to expand on that and recommend you also take your time as you type out your own posts to keep the typo's and grammatical errors down to a minimum as some of you posts are a little hard to read. This isn't a race.

  7. I'm going to have to disagree with this my man, modern games now are cheaper then ever if you are willing to wait and keep an eye out for bargains every once in a while you're bound to profit from it and save a lot of money, for example i picked up halo infinite for 22 euros last week and that is a game like what 6 months old and that is even for a physical copy. In the mid 90 ies i remember my parents paying about 85 euros for super street fighter 2 for the sega megadrive/genesis, Virtua racing was over 100+ more like 125 euros because the cartridge contained a special chip which my parents also gave me because i got good grades, offcourse the euro diden't exist back then it was in frank but damn cartridge games were pretty damn expensive in that time period. Considering how many good modern games you can get for about 100 bucks compared to the sega megadrive/genesis and snes period so yeah i'd say as a gamer we never got it as good.

  8. I got into playing Paladins recently which is a free good hero shooter game. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy into the game's microtransactions which it's very tempting.

If you haven't already one game you should add on top of your to play list is PokΓ©mon Conquest , while i don't have a lot with pokΓ©mon i do love me some Nobunaga's Ambition this game combines the two in a fantastic way.

  15. as @kingpotato already explained i can't do a better job without spoiling too much, I've had a blast with A link between worlds it's also one of the more challenging zelda games from what i remember and the ice ruins is one of the best dungeons in the entire zelda series. Sure you may see the ability to morph into walls as a gimmick but it's used in a really clever way to solve puzzles, avoid enemies, etc, to me it never felt like a gimmick and you know what makes it even cooler is with the 3d effect on, if you can handle the 3ds, 3d effect i highly recommend using it. I'm sure you will like it as it's pretty much a link to the past 2 it plays the same, has simulair graphics. Wheter or not you should play/get it is up to you, that's a choice you have to make as Some people just don't like playing on handhelds. Assuming you already have the game i don't see any reason what would be stopping you from not trying it out, if you don't have it i don't think it's going to break the bank because from what i remember it was practically everywhere during the 3ds existance. I do have to say my favourite handheld zelda game is the Minish Cap on the Gba.

  16. This is a prime example of why "free to Play" and "PvP" don't play well together. On the other end, a strictly PvE game like Genshin works pretty well in spite of the free to play model. The game is not only manageable for it's f2p players, it isn't really any more grindy. Of course all that would go out the window if they introduced PvP, since the DPS difference on some characters is 400% when they have their max constellations (unlocked by getting multiple copies of a character).

  18. It would be freaking hell living the rest of my life without videogames. But at $1 billion I might be able to substitute that by real life thrills. But for $10 million? I buy a home and 5 sports cars, and I'm broke. But if I have $1 billion I could rent a race track every weekend and just play gran turismo in real life.

    FIFA 99

EA FIFA game's have never appealed to me in years now. I'm even among the happy gamers that the franchise is coming to an end..good riddance.

  22. Its through a streaming app basically, you are running the game on your PC and you can stream the screen on your phone, you can do the same thing with a ps4. Its doable but the frame rate is not the best and there is a lot of lag

  23. I wouldn't say its underrated either because a good portion of the RE fandom says it's the best game and to an extent, that is the case so its definitely not underrated.

  24. I believe anything can be fun if you are deeply involved with it. I go to work and working is fun for me. I believe Pro gamers do enjoy playing for tournaments, even the novices would enjoy being in the tournaments because that is something of achievement.

  25. ANOTHER RE remake?!...Capcom is just milking this. I thoroughly enjoyed 2 and 3 Remake because it fixed the huge issues of the original game mechanics but I always feared they wouldn't stop there and here it is confirmed.

  26. You should my friends because too much dust and dirt in them wouldn't be good for them and how they function.

  27. I think it will be good in general, but I am largely sceptical that, yeah, it's still a cash grab. I don't really care for remakes, because they don't replace the originals. About the only remake that "did" was the 2002 remake, which is basically what the 1996 version couldn't be, because of hardware limitations of the era. But that was a choice for Shinji Mikami to do a remake, from the ground up. With Capcom, they had nobody holding them at gunpoint. It's the money they care about, first and foremost. Meanwhile, we could have gotten a good spin off game, which I'd quite frankly, take over a reimagining. The remake of RE3 was absolutely trashed from the moment they worked on it, because whoever developed it, just hadn't a clue what made the original so unique. To be honest, I will be surprised if I ever play that awful game ever again. And I wasn't overly impressed with RE2 either, as BOTH games were as guilty of omitting things. Not having Barry Burton save Jill in Raccoon City was dope, for a start. Feels like most of the pedestrian, ten a penny horror crap that companies make now for a cheap profit. Despite what anyone says, RE2's modern version doesn't hold a candle to the original. Yet if you look online for any reviews from the largest gaming giants, most fanboys say RE2 turned out to be magnificent, while dissing RE3. Hardly makes sense, though, giving how they are just as guilty for removing story aspects, and enemies. So it's kind of stupid to fault one game, rather than point out that they are both flawed. When RE4 arrives, don't be surprised if fanboys defend it to the bitter end. Because I know what they're like, as there's a forum I use for the franchise, called Biohaze. Some of the members are kind of the snobby type. They don't want you saying anything negative about the series, even if it's absolutely truthful. So I normally just don't say anything anymore.

  28. Couple i can think off : Assasins creed black flag : pretty obvious and likely boring choice but wait let's massage my brain and see if i can think of a couple more. Maneater : Kind of an underrated game where your play as a shark in an openworld, offcourse it's mostly underwater but you can still attack and eat people on the coast lines, had a lot of fun with this one. By the end of the game you're an unstoppable force, exellent game that would probably my top pick for this thread if you're looking to play a game that is just a blast to play. Another obvious answer would be ecco the dolphin. Bioshock games also have some interesting underwater sections from what i remember but it's been years since i played those games so my memory isen't all that great. Abzu would be an exellent choice aswell. other recent games i can remember that include underwater sections that were good : rayman legends and offcourse how can i forgot super Mario Odyssey, Seaside Kingdom section. I don't really know how far you want to go back into time but my favourite underwater section has to be Legend of zelda majora’s mask – great bay temple dungeon. Also from what i remember the underwater levels in the donkey kong country series were also top notch and how could i forgot super mario 64 Dire Dire Docks level. Don't know if this is the answer you're looking for? I usually hate underwater levels especially the ones in the crash bandicoot series and the first sonic games so it's a hard subject for me to come up with something good.

  29. You Gotta love the comments being made from folks who complain they don't have much time to play videogames, yet are able to do 30+ posts a day on vgr.com 🀨 As for me usually during weekdays one or two hours sometimes more but that rarely happens as there is always something else that needs to be done, during winter i game a lot more then during the summer. Weekends are kind of a mixed bag, sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes an entire afternoon, depends on the weather wheter i can go out hiking or not.

  30. The way dusts cover up my room divider set up with my console and TV makes me cover them up always whenever I'm not making use of them. It helps reduce how dirty they get over time.
