  1. I've got to give Google credit for offering those refunds. I can say with absolute certainty that other companies would not have done the same.

  2. I didn't just ask that for my sake, I'm not the only one who really hates that. Still, I appreciate that, so thank you. I want you to understand something though. It's not just the term and what it means in history that bothers me. As a PC gamer, I find the idea that we are somehow better than other gamers just because of a platform presence abhorrent and fundamentally wrong, and there's a reason. I was once part of a forum and gaming community that was about gamers grouping up and organizing with each other to play games together, but at first they absolutely refused to support those of people played on console and excluded them. Whenever we tried to organise our own game nights on console, they shut us down. Even on cross platform games they set the rules up in such a way that we could not join in. So you see, I'm not just being some "snowflake", "PC Master Race" is an attack of the very principles I hold as a gamer. None of the arrogance and elitism that some PC gamers feel is justified and just like how me and a few others refused to let to let it be acceptable back then, I refuse to let it be acceptable now. Anyway, rant over. Once again, thank you for being cool about this.

  3. I knew a guy several years ago that would drone on and on about how great he was. How high his IQ was, how rich was, how strong he was, how big his dick was and more. He was so in love with himself that he would consider it an honor for you to be allowed to be in his presence. I finally told him one time to let me know when he was done kissing his own ass, because my ass was full of shit too. He was so pissed off that I called him out like that (taking a baseball bat to his fragile overinflated ego), that he was red in the face and ran away like the scared little pussy he was. I haven't run into him in probably 20 years. I have no idea what happened to him since then, but I'm sure he has received several ass kickings. As for me bragging about something, the only thing I can think of is my pets and my car. I don't look down on anyone who doesn't have things. I've been there. I'm just proud of those two things. I don't have any skills or abilities in anything to brag about. I'm actually a pretty boring person IRL.

    Brag about

@runswithspatulas said it all. I hate it all when someone is so self acclaim, always citing good about him/herself. I know humans has ego, but we don't have to let that show up to our fellow, it should live privately within us. I don't stay too long with people that brags about themselves, citing about personal belongings, and downgrading someone who doesn't have much in his or her life.

  5. Themselves mostly. They talk themselves up but when it comes time to deliver the goods they are useless. If you're gonna tell people how great you are at your job and then turn around slack off then that's a waste of my time to listen to. Eye roll city!

  7. I'm not surprised, but I am pissed. Stadia was SO EASY TO USE YOU GUYS. No waiting for updates to download and install. No waiting to just load the damn game, Its a click away from where I'm typing this, then another button press and I'm loading into Destiny right away. I use a Mac, so it was a fantastic way for me to play games on the machine that I'm on all the time anyway instead of loading up another machine to do so. I am so freaking upset that this option is now going away.

  8. As in store them in the closet in my computer room which is locked with a key. I have tightly sealed, waterproof plastic containers that I store my devices in when I'm going away for a while, I know I'm going to have company over or a storm might be coming and I want to keep my devices safe. In my country, it's currently hurricane season and we have plenty of rainfall during this period so I'm not taking any chances.

  9. That's not really it either - The Last Of Us didn't need a remake especially when the sequel just came out a year or two ago. They could've given it a bit more time before doing a remake.

  10. I agree - For instance, if someone were to play some of the tracks from Batman the animated series, I'd recognize it in a heartbeat whereas if you played some tracks from Game of Thrones, I wouldn't recognize most of them even though I did watch the whole series because they just aren't as memorable.

  11. I remember Star Ocean: The Second Story on the PSP had a lot of endings to the story - I know it was over 50 (that's what the developers said). I just checked and it had 87 endings...wow! That reminds me - I need to download it for my PSP emulator.

    new games coming

Well, there's a lesson learned. Wait on the reviews before you jump to buy a game - trust me, it saves you from a lot of disappointment.

  13. Getting back to topic, Nintendo can charge these prices due to brand loyalty. There are loyalists for every gaming platform, and they’re not willing to give other platforms a chance. Nintendo has the biggest amount of loyalists simply because it has been around so much longer. Those of us who grew up on Nintendo, tend to (at the very least) prefer Nintendo. I started out gaming on Atari 2600 and Colecovision. When the NES hit the market in 1985, I desperately wanted one. Ever since then I’ve mainly been a fan. Especially for some of their exclusive’s like the Zelda franchise. All that said, they can jack up the prices however high they want, and people will pay it. It’s a sad fact of corporate greed. They know they can get away with gouging consumers, so they see no reason not to.

  14. I could understand that. To be clear, I hate elitism in all things, but particularly in gaming as well. I hate being called a "casual gamer" just because I don't enjoy the AAA games most people enjoy, for example. But I think where I was coming from with the "Master Race" thing was that I wasn't intentionally using it in the elitist way. I get what you're saying, and I get that it is associated with elitism, but I feel like a lot of words (where the meaning isn't as obvious as blatantly offensive words like Nazi and the other n-word) are thrown around on the Internet in an ironic but humorous fashion that the original definition of such words become blurred, and oftentimes, I get called out for being too sensitive when they're "just joking around," so the "proper etiquette" for behaving towards such ambiguous usage of words just becomes confusing. "Git gud" is one such term where it can be interpreted as a mocking kind of term to ridicule people who aren't good at games, and yet people have criticized me for getting sensitive about it, saying "it's just a joke and no one really use it unironically," so I just don't even know what the proper standards are. I'll still refrain from using it, but I wanted to explain where I'm coming from and how I was influenced into using such loaded words in such a frivolous fashion.

  15. I've submitted my vote. The only reason I didn't nominate this individual is because they were nominated already. Best of luck to all of you.

  16. I’m not sure what’s really exhausting about acquiring a physical copy of a game. If it’s a popular title, I can easily get it from a store, and if it’s not popular, I just order it on Amazon. It doesn’t take much of my time to get a game physically. If the game was brand new, it was a very rare issue to see the disc scratched. I also own hundreds of used disc based games, and none of them were too scratched to not work. I could be super lucky. I get the convenience of not having to wait for a game to be delivered, but the exhausting nature of physically acquiring a game is completely foreign for me.

  20. I could care less about your conspiracy theory's. Gay people exist, and if you can't handle that reality, find your own way to deal with it. One think I won't allow though is homophobia on the boards. There are people (including staff members) who grace these threads who are on the spectrum, but even if there weren't, hate has no place here. Consider yourself warned.

  21. More people are identifying as LGBTQ because it is likely an intentional push (via the media machine and their cohorts) by the left. I don't watch any Matt Walsh, but I would imagine he is probably pointing out Captain Obvious type stuff, whether people want to hear it or not.

  22. People like him have fallen into an obsession of homophobia and they use this exact talking point to praise dictatorial leaders who they think are strong. All these culture wars from republicans are for only one purpose, to demonize their opponents and try to get in good grace with religious groups. Cause we all know religious people are the only righteous ones in existence, right? (SARCASM). Every holiday, republicans go on offense how liberals try to take it all away. Republicans cuddle the American flag in one hand and the confederate flag in the other while trying to overthrow an election with their brothers next to them holding Nazi symbols. Their actions speak for itself. Every law they pass is a direct attack on people of color and the LGBTQ community. As far as the survey goes, people can lie in surveys; surveys can be biased; and the baby boomer generation, every generation for that matter, has their share of LGBTQ but the baby boomers grew up in an age where they have to be closet gays. Conversatives think they are the population of heterosexuals but you can never tell. Russia for example, is the epitome of how republicans want this country to be like. Russia has cracked down on the LGBTQ community. Transgender people aren't allowed to drive in that country. They have passed the 'gay propaganda' laws. They have tv shows demonizing gays. At the same time, in such a masculine society, there is allegations that Russian soldiers in Ukraine are raping grown men and boys, including women and girls. So a country that is hell bent on punishing the LGBTQ and pro masculinity are raping grown men and boys? Is gay jail rape a masculine endeavor to the far right wingers too? So let's not get caught up in any extremism. Republicans have their equal share of gays who most likely are closet gays. Toxic masculinity is not good and treating your 4 year old boy as a girl is not good. As far as that goes, we can't reach too far into it because we don't know their personal story. Was it fun and games? Or something else? When I was a kid me and my sister raided our mom's makeup and painted each other lol. So fucking what. I would still beat the hell out of most kids in my neighborhood and in school for that matter. I got kicked out of first grade for kicking everyone's ass all the time. I was a bully when I was younger. I even hit girls too. I even attacked grown ups and run off. I just didn't care. Me and my friends played dodge ball using knives to throw. Then I grew up. I embrace my femininity now. I'm not afraid to be one with nature and that whole thing. At the same time I am willing to defend my country if there is a call for arms. I will protect those that are in need. That's masculine enough as far as I'm concerned. There are far too many grown males who need to grow up. You can't call yourself a man just because you have a job, money, degree, and a family while throwing tantrums on planes for having to wear a mask. And that is one example of many that I can go into. Long story short, grow the fuck up republicans!!! I have a couple other points to make about false masculinity and the so called strong man. Take a look at the Neanderthals who were much stronger than homo sapiens. But we are alive today because we were more intelligent. The physical strength didn't prevent the Neanderthals from going extinct. Spartans supposedly has a myth where they would weed out weak boys and train the rest to be strong as hell. Where are the Spartans today? Why don't they have their own country and empire? You get the point. Toxic masculinity is a recipe for failure. Nothing good comes out of it, except for abuse and violence. You can't brainwash the testosterone out of males. If you are so concerned about losing testosterone levels, then protest and complain to the food manufacturing companies that packages food in plastic containers. Because that plastic is full of estrogens that leak into the food. And that includes bottled water. So get off your manly asses and complain to them. What's wrong? Don't want to piss off the corporations? Huh? The industries leaking estrogens into the food? They get the green light, so you instead attack the gay community? Fuck you bigots. Straight up. You homophobes are idiots.
