  1. Thanks everyone for your replies, it makes me feel better that im not the only one who thinks this way, i was starting to feel like i was just trying to justify all the years ive spent in the wonderful world of games, by telling myself that im actually getting more from them than just pure enjoyment (which is reason enough to do anything for sure) lol 🙂 I guess ive just spent too much time around non gamers, who dont appreciate the work, imagination, research and money that goes into making a good and in a lot of cases historically accurate game. Kane99 you are correct my friend, i too have learnt so much from the assassins creed games, as not only are they full of fact based history, but you also get a real feel for what it would have ben like to live in that era, im thinking right now of my latest AC experience which was obviously Valhalla and in that game, especially as im from the north of England, it gave me a real appreciation of the struggles our forefathers faced, not only from the Vikings but from the Romans too, everyone wanted a piece of old blighty back then lol! Ive also just got into PCVR as i connect my Quest 2 to my gaming PC and wow let me say the immersion level has gone through the roof, its another level and can only add to the learning experience, as now im in the game/game world and you experience things and see things that you would have missed playing on a monitor or tv, its absolutely crazy 🙂 ive just finished Lone Echo and i was left speechless, to be in orbit around Saturn, as a worker droid protecting your human partner is another level when your actually there, i was stood looking out of our space craft at the view of Saturn with its rings and all the meteors floating around it, it really gave me a perspective i would never have dreamed of without VR 🙂 There is a few tweaks you have to make when first setting up your quest 2 for PCVR gaming via a link cable, but it is well worth it when you get it right, as it improves the look and feel of the game 10 fold, im happy to help anyone who is using their quest 2 for PCVR, just drop me a message and ill talk you through it, as it does improve the look of the games in VR very much if done right. Anyway peeps thanks again for the replies and sorry for the long response lol once i get chatting you cant stop me 🙂 take care all, Woody

    Food allergies?

This is pretty much me in a nutshell It's technically not an allergy, but since everyone mistakenly calls it one, it's just easier to say it is. Certain ones affect me more than others, but I haven't really deciphered which ones do better or worse. I can still drink, but I don't do it often because of the body reactions. Sometimes I get red in the face very quickly, and people think I'm already hammered, and I'm only half a beer in.

Ever been part of a clan?

I have been part of a clan, yes. I remember back in 2008 I met a few people when playing Saints Row and we got playing and moved to Rainbow Six Vegas 2 where we continued our clan there and met a group of people who had another clan. We used to have a ton of fun going up against each other in terrorist hunt or in custom made matches as a friendly fun time between 2 clans. After a while we moved to Halo 3 where we continued our clan until everyone started moving on due to life away from gaming becoming busy and the clan disbanded.

    Fan-made projects?

I love it. I think it's great as long as you're not profiting off of that fan game. Plus it's illegal to do, so there's that. But I think it's perfectly fine to make a fan game to pay your respects to a game you love. I hate when people get told to stop because a studio doesn't want them making a game based on theirs. But I think it's fair use as long as you're not selling it or profiting from it. Which is why I hate when Nintendo or Rockstar stop these developers from making these fan games. Let them have fun.

    Fan-made projects?

The fact that people are willing to sit and code a fan made version of a game is just amazing and as you say, some of them are just amazing and definitely worth being looked into my game developers in possibly bringing them in to work for them. I can only imagine the number of hours they must put in to get the game to get it where it's playable with limited problems and get barely any recognition for the game is very sad. Hopefully one day developers will pick up on those who make fan made games and appreciate them a little more than they do now.

  6. This guy barley mentioned dick about another Burnout game and even if he did it would be another open world fringe off the same cloth as Need For Speed or Forza Horizon. When EA and Criterion released Burnout Paradise they fucking murdered the entire genre! They made it perfectly clear that they don't want to make fun, offline, arcade racers anymore and a disgustingly large number of players apparently agreed so the fun racing game is now dead, The last Burnout game was Paradise and it was dogshit. Even if Criterion were willing to make another Burnout there is far to many idiots that think Paradise was a good game that that is inevitably what they would build it from. Thanks for sharing but fuck this!

    State Of Decay Series

The game is essentially a resource management game with zombies. For me, it got really repetitive an I hated how glitchy it was for me at times. Also you walk and run far too slow imo, at least from what I remember playing it. I imagine Days Gone is more comfortable to control, but I don't know if it really compares to Days Gone. With State of Decay and its sequel, you pretty much deal with the same zombies. You have to scavenge houses for supplies, constantly be on your feet because of zombies. You also have to clear out houses from zombie infestations and so on. You can meet survivors on your travels etc. The co-op isn't all that great imo. It just allows you team up with another player. It just makes the person you're playing with, much better than the crappy AI partners.
