  1. I don't think it's our choice for books to be free on the internet. That should be up to the author and publisher. I do believe all books should be available on the internet whether free or having to buy it. If free, people will look for books most likely at libraries in their online service. In the USA, librarians are at risk of going to prison now just for lending out books to kids that republicans are calling porn. Libraries are shutting down because conservatives are wanting to jail librarians and tell them what books they can keep on shelves. When those libraries stand up for free speech rights, they get shut down. Books that republicans have now banned in schools, well, people still want to read those books. So where do they look? The library. And if it is banned there, then someplace else on the internet? What if the book is banned in the whole state? If that kid downloads a book from somewhere, who will be held responsible? Who will go to jail over it? See how wrong republicans are book banning? This is political now. It's happening. It's important to mention the reality that is taking place in the USA with republicans banning books and not being able to read what you want which is supposed to be protected by free speech rights.

  2. They kind of already did something similar with Shaolin Monks I believe it was. In that game I believe you could play co-op. It was essentially a beat 'em up where you played as either Liu Kang and or Kung Lao. Supposedly the story takes place during MKII. I remember hearing about it and from the looks of it, is kind of similar to the sub-zero game, but this time it's actually good. I watched a playthrough of it years ago and I think it's also more open, as you can walk in all directions instead of left and right. But I may be wrong, it's been a long time. As for future games like that, I'm all for it. More single player/co-op beat 'em ups would be nice.

  4. If I use a laptop, I'm usually using it plugged into the outlet. I will sometimes use my laptop unplugged, but it's rare. I mean, I sit in the same spot with it anyway, and I don't take it out of the house ever, so I don't see a point in unplugging it unless I am on the go. As for screen brightness, I tend to turn that down low, for one, when I do unplug it, it saves on battery life, and two, it's better on the eyes. I also use the night light mode where it turns your screen a yellow tint to help with the blue lights.

  5. Right? Like damn, let the devs work. I get having a deadline, but maybe if there are problems reaching said deadline, and it's been a problem for a bit, maybe extend the deadline a bit later next time. But that's what these big studio heads do. They push and prod their developers in making the games as fast as they can to meet a street date. But, I think these studios are taking notice to the amount of failures that have come out, and are hopefully going to wait until a game is "ready" before actually shipping it. If another Cyberpunk 2077 happens, it's going to end that game. I think the actual developers need to be the leaders going forward. No more of these rich CEOs running the whole show.

  6. Better hope Finland joins NATO. I wouldn't want to be in those countries close to Russia that aren't in NATO. And think about what happens when republicans get rid of child labor laws. By now we should know that everything a republican does starts off little, then they go full obsession in their legislation. Child labor is in the beginning stages of what republicans have in mind, just like every other bill they pass. First it's let kids work at 14, then 13, then 10. At the same time republicans are completely banning workplace training that is supposed to help stop sexual harassment of employees. What the fuck right? You want to send kids to work in a work environment that doesn't respect others and without labor unions. They also want to get rid of affirmative action which gives equal opportunity to ethnicities and females. That means businesses can simply hire cheap labor with kids. Think about how that impacts their education? They should be going to school and studying, not slave labor. Come on, we know what happens. Come and work 10 hours on the weekend. Come and work 20 hours on the weekend. Come and work 30 hours a week. If you want benefits, come and work 40 hours a week and fuck school. Oh, and force that 13 year old to keep a baby and by 14 she can work to support it.

  7. I used to eat ketchup sandwiches all the time as a kid. I loved it. Not so much now though, but I would still choose a ketchup sandwich over cereal with orange juice. That just seems like acid puke. Dry cereal would be way better.

  8. Yeah, I certainly won't offer any sympathy over what happened to her, but that doesn't change the fact that she's still alive, so I would obviously still go for the octopus because that is at least edible. Before I explain further, a quick lesson in tastebuds. There are two primary functions for tastebuds. To alert you to incompatible and dangerous materials before they can enter your digestion by having them taste horrid. Offering a pleasurable experience in reaction to nutrient's you body is the most in need off, that's what cravings are. So whilst what this streamer stupidly put herself though was unpleasant, eating a poisonous mushroom would, if anything, be worse. Not only could it kill you, the experience eating would be something I'd wish on nobody. It's not just the taste, that would likely be rancid, but how it would make you feel as your body reacts to it as it attempts to digest it. Poison is prolonged and way more painful than any work of fiction can do justice. Even if you survive, it's unlikely the mushroom would even have any nutritional value anyway, so you'll be putting yourself through it for nothing. Wait, no, worse actually, because your body will have wasted valuable energy and water trying to neutralise said poison, so you'll probably be worse than you were to begin with. The octopus is at least food, it will quell you hunger and has nutrients and protein. So, with all due respect and with I genuine application for the topic @killamch89 (mostly for the video), this is quite a stupid question with an obvious answer.

  9. I'm going to do that with my own audio recording and set an alarm to go off 1 minute after I walk away. It would be hilarious.

  10. Yeah, it is interesting that people call the Aya Neo and the others "Steam Deck clones" when they came out first, but these people who have this weird loyalty to Steam tend to be slightly stupid, so it isn't a shock. Still, the Steam Deck itself isn't without merit. The hardware is powerful and it's well priced It is a good option for PC gaming on the go. Whilst the having the name Steam written all over hasn't exactly hurt it's sales, that doesn't mean the people who bought it were misled or were ignorant of thier options.

  11. Actually I think it was the steam powered tricycle. Goes fast as 2 mph and you have to stop every 15 minutes. Well, ok maybe my dreams are crushed.

  12. My cat is no longer with us as she passed last July at the age of 12 but I would often joke around and make up things she would probably be saying to us when she would look at us, it often made my kids laugh to be honest. Sad reality is, if she could speak, she more than likely would have said half the stuff I said she would say if she could talk. LOL
