An action drama series from 1996 to 2000. A movie came out in 2001 helping to fill in some more of the answers. Stars Michael T. Weiss, Patrick Bauchau. The story is about Jarod who is a “Pretender”. He is a genius & able to master any scenario & character with ease. He was kidnapped as a child to exploit has abilities. As an adult, he escapes & goes on the run, being chased by The Centre agents.
My husband & I bought this series to watch it. When we give enough time for a show, we re-watch the series as you always will find something you missed the first time around.
Did any of you watch it? What did you think? I felt honestly bad about Jarod. He had to be on the run & couldn’t have a normal life. He was very loyal & devoted to any friends he made along the way.

This was a simple game from Super NES. I prefer non-violent ones. It involved having to pop bubbles that bounce around the screen. Of course, the later levels, they get more difficult. They have Panic Mode & Arcade Mode. We just played Arcade Mode. I’m not one for competition & I play games to relax, not to get high blood pressure lol
It was a fun game that any age could learn. You just had to practice to be more skilled at popping the bubbles. Anybody try this one? Did you think it was too easy?
I can see how people would think of it as a rip-off of Dr. Mario. It was actually quite fun. My husband & I played together, he doing one scene then I took the next. We do that sometimes to make it interesting. Then we play it the second time & reverse.

I would love to learn how to surf & so I'd pick surfing the ocean waves. I love being outside in nature anyways. I cannot imagine being online 'all day' without unplugging from it. I'd get very stressed out lol

I pick whisper. Shouting would be annoying to me. I don't like to shout & don't care for others shouting. It rakes on your nerves & can cause a lot of stress lol

Even though I grew up in the country, I was never really into it. I preferred light 80’s rock. Though I do appreciate some country songs & singers out there. When I was a teen, I had a penpal (pre-internet days!) who was from Tennessee, USA so she got me into more country music when I visited her.

Glad I found this thread! My mom would play Barry Manilow’s songs (along with other singers) when I was little. Quite uplifting, good beat, but not degrading others. Copacabana & Mandy are two that stick out.

While I don't listen to music much, I do appreciate New Age. Enigma's Return to Innocence & Sadeness are ones I love. I also like Enya. Her Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) is quite uplifting.

I don't have a sports hero. However, I would go for anybody who is not afraid to stand up for themselves & others. Who are not fake in what they show to people vs how they really act, how they really believe. They are true to themselves.

This game reminds me as a cross between Croquet & Baseball. Has wickets at each end where athletes use a bat that is flattened to hit the ball. It can be traced back to the 16th century in England.
I’m not athletic though I do pay some attention to sports. However, this game was one I couldn’t get into. Maybe because I’m in the USA & it doesn’t seem to be as common here.
Who plays Cricket? Do you do it for fun or been on a league?

@killamch89 I'd homeschool if I had my own kids too. They can learn the real history & life lessons without it being one sided.
@The Blackangel Furbabies give you love unconditionally. Only downside, they don't live as long 😞

Ditto. He's a god to me, and the greatest actor that ever lived. There's no role he can't master. He's done everything. Romance, western, action, horror, comedy, drama, sci-fi, fantasy, historical war, all of it. No other actor could breach all genres and do them perfectly.
Another fun fact: Nicholas Cage got him his acting career.
I think I like his comedy the best. He tends to do physical comedy quite well. If you ever seen Benny & Joon, you'll know what I mean. I did not know that Fun Fact with Nicholas Cage! Very interesting!

This was an Australian series in 2015 set in a fictional town of Yoorana, Victoria. The plot revolves around 7 people who have returned from the dead in perfect health but with no memory.
It went on for 3 seasons & did bring closure.
One thing about these shows that bring people back from the dead, there will always be plotholes. You just have to go with it & enjoy the show.
Did any of you watch this? Do you like shows like this?

For our Nintendo system, we had 10 at one time lol Most were refurbished because they were so hard to find. The buttons kept getting stuck so we had to get a few more while we tried to ‘fix’ the bad ones.

We watched it. Season 2 will be out in a couple of days on Netflix. A 2020 fantasy, supernatural horror series shown on Netflix. Stars Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones.
Plot: After Rendell Locke is murdered by a former student, his wife & children move into Keyhouse, a family home. They discover keys & try to find what they unlock.
Since this is an older thread & hopefully by the time people view it, they would have watched some of Season 2. I think it was quite different but unique. It has also been renewed for its third.

I unplug throughout the day. We don't do cell phones & don't believe in all the high-tech gadgets out there so it makes it easy to relax. I wouldn't say "spice up" the free time, but I guess I feel when we are able to use our own minds without outside influence, that can be a way to "spice" it up!

This is a hard one. Spending time with my spouse is always rewarding, however, we want to enjoy the movie as well. I'll pick a good movie alone. That is, unless my husband & I can talk, read while "watching" the terrible movie lol

I'm already child-free by choice so this is an easy one. I rather have no kids. It's not about the money. I like my life the way it is with furbabies. It's hard to raise a kid back then & more so now.

When they have a monopoly on something, it's easy to up prices for competition. Many people have used Netflix for years & many stay loyal & Netflix knows that. I think it's ridiculous the prices out there. Now Netflix made it so you can't rearrange you Instant Queue. They got rid of the ratings to be just a Thumbs Up & Thumbs Down. Some shows I chose '3', the middle.

I loved these movies though I don't care for Disney's franchise anymore. Always been a fan of Johnny Depp since 21 Jump Street (the original). Fun Fact: He's an introvert!
There's 5 movies & there is talk there may be a 6th one. Do you think that's too many? I do. When the storyline goes on for too long & especially for too long timewise in between the first to the last, it loses its meaning.

Now I’m talking about the original series that began in 1970, based in Canada. Was first called The Kids of Degrassi Street. Created by Kit Hood & Linda Schuyler. While I didn’t watch the first one, I started at Degrassi Junior High & then onto Degrassi High. The Next Generation had some of the same characters, now older as it was made in 2001. After awhile, the premise lost its touch. I loved watching it from the 80’s & 90’s because it featured real people (the actors had pimples & were not stick thin) with storylines to match. The Next Generation started to become a Teen Soap Opera.
Who has watched these? If you are of the younger generation, did you know it began in 1979?

Putting this in Sports because it does have to do with physical fitness. Any of you ever had one of those big trampolines? How about a mini one, also called a Rebounder? We had a mini Rebounder when I was younger that I loved playing on as a kid. I would put small toys on it & try to bounce without the toys touching me. Was not a good idea lol My parents warned me not to do it but you know kids!
I had a friend who had one of those big ones but I didn’t try it that I could recall. Having a small one is one thing, but a huge one & where back in the day, we didn’t have all those ‘safety’ features, I honestly was never a risk-taker.
Even if you are not a kid, don’t have kids, adults alike can enjoy these.

How much does it cost for a set-up? I know of some who have several monitors, special chair. What all would you want to buy in order to appreciate the experience of this game? Where would you buy these products for a good deal? Is it really worth the hassle? I guess I would prefer to spend the money on games but then there's also something to be said about being comfortable.

I don’t care for the cold & I can’t find much that I like about winter lol Days are short, no sun, no warmth, no colors. Just so dreary. Only thing I DO like is because I like stargazing, there's new constellations overhead that I don't get to see in the summer. I bundle up & can get lost in time with my telescope.

Filled with light. I tend to have lights on at night anyways. I like to read, write, clean, so I need to be able to see what I'm doing. I have a lavender scented eyepad I use to cover my eyes so even if the lights are on, my eyes are closed to darkness.

I’ve heard of this before but never used it myself. Of course, I don’t listen to music too much either. But my husband does. What entices people to use Spotify? It was created in 2015 in Sweden & seems to be going pretty well still.
