Joshua Canler reacted to DC in [Sponsored] The FFXIV MSQ is still too frustrating for new players, even with Endwalker
One of the biggest concerns for FFXIV players is the often long-winding process of completing Main Scenario Quests, or MSQ for short. FFXIV's story is a delight to experience, but the trouble with the game's MSQ is that it involves a plethora of sequential quests that must be completed in a linear fashion. This means you can't take on another part of MSQ without finishing pre-requisite quests firsts.
This has been a point of frustration for newer players because some may just want to get into the action of FFXIV without going through a tedious questline; in which case, they may be setting themselves up for disappointment because FFXIV deals with its story a lot. Part of the FFXIV grand experience is its rich story and events. While players may use an FFXIV mount to get from point A to point B, main quests will still require you as a player to defeat mobs of enemies or bosses at key parts of it.
Alternatively, players may choose to get an FFXIV account that has already completed the story so they can just choose to do the Bahamut Coil raids — the Bahamut Coil represents the biggest challenge in the game and is an absolute blast to experience and a worthy obstacle to finish, and not everyone gets to finish it.
What do you think of the game's MSQ so far? Will Endwalker do a good job of tidying things up for it?

If the option to skip is always there for gamers, I believe that most of them would definitely pick that option and get it over with.

I haven’t started Endwalker yet but friends have told me it is very short. I just wonder how they will keep players playing. Probably going to roll out an expansion. I like how FF14 is playing out. For new players they can buy class level ups and scenario skips so they can jump to the newest main quest.

I'm from Singapore 🇸🇬. I live in the Central Region of Singapore, specifically in Bishan East of the country. Currently, I'm in Nigeria. Came to visit Obudu Cattle Ranch that I have heard so much about.

C. Pulusic the one that plays for Chelsea right? I used to call him Captain America 🇺🇸, although he's battling with series of injuries which isn't good for his football career.

USA 🇺🇸 is just picking up a little bit when it comes to football (Soccer). They have quite bright young stars that are making the sport worth it lately in the person of C. Pulusic.

It's really a long one for you playing FIFA series from 98 till now. I think you're a legend playing EA FIFA game series. I love the games developed by Capcom too, prince of Persia, and super Mario are old games I still love till now.

Joshua Canler reacted to Reality vs Adventure in Greatest Ingenuity of All Games Assassin's Creed Eagle and Raven. Nothing Else Will Ever Compare
Prove me wrong that there is some other ingenuity in gaming that is greater than soaring over the entire map. Nothing beats it. Show me anything that compares. Debate it. I dare it. If you never played it, then you better. It's beyond gaming of its time. I don't know what other mechanics to compare it to. It is just amazing. Imagine yourself in a tv store. They are showing off how the picture looks and use Odyssey as an example. WTF is that? Looks badass! It's a game dude. Forget the f***k tv, I want the f**k game. So the dare is open. Can you find a greater ingenuity in games?

Joshua Canler reacted to Reality vs Adventure in Are Survivors games over rated?
You mean like survival apocalyptic games? That's my favorite genre. To be put in a situation completely out of your control, and your only means of control is what you find to survive and protect yourself is raw human emotions in every way. To see the world of what we are so used to, and to see how vulnerable we really are, everything we depend on just crumbles; there's nothing like it.

Personally, I don't see survival games as being overrated because it's actually something that I really find thrilling to get into always.

Because life is about survival. I don't see them over rated. I prefer those games.

Joshua Canler reacted to Empire in Why are video game controllers so expensive?
The shortest answer. The companies that make consoles lose money on the console themselves and make money on software and peripherals.
-
Joshua Canler reacted to Heatman in Why are video game controllers so expensive?
Exactly - And if you feel like you can't afford to pay for the expensive controllers and go get the fakes in the market, it would damage even before you get to use them for a while.
