Justin11 reacted to Techno in Share your VGR experience!
Honestly I enjoy it. It has a good simple layout, a easy posting textbox and a good user face that makes finding and creating easy. The community is far less toxic than Resetera (to be fair, that's quite a low bar to cross) and the moderation has been very calm and rational which is a nice change of pace. My primary problem however would probably be the point system and reward system in general, but I've discussed that in other threads so I'll keep my mouth shut.
Something interesting I did notice was the size of a moderation team, there's only around three people on it. While it'll keep the team consistent and better regulated, I am curious on it's growth and how the forum's growth will affect it. I mean you can't exactly regulate 20,000 accounts with only three people.
Something that I do like seeing more of is DC's contests, it's nice to have some extra activities that are able to be done. It helps keep the site interesting and creative. I hope DC keeps bringing in more threads like Trick Or Treat, it's a nice change of pace.

Trick or treat, but I'm afraid not much has changed...

No, I hate football. I just found the first gif in the list that had something to do with a trophy.

Justin11 got a reaction from The Blackangel in There's a free PS5 scam on Facebook
No one gift a stranger something for free, you must worth it before such an item gets to you. Since I know it wouldn't come on a Plata of Gold for me when it comes to this kind of item like PS5, I rather work for it and buy it at a legal store than falling into scam.

Justin11 reacted to Knight Plug in Silent Hill fans can go cry in a corner...
It's been known for like ever that these are just rumours. However, there must be truth to the stories when the director of the first film has come out and recently said he has been in contact with ex Team Silent personnel.
I believe an announcement has to be imminent. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Or so they say.

Justin11 got a reaction from Knight Plug in Silent Hill fans can go cry in a corner...
I didn't pay attention when I first heard about the rumour of latest Silent Hill coming into the frame, I just waited to confirm the official game release date, but I didn't hear any. That's when I knew it was just mere rumour.

Justin11 reacted to StaceyPowers in Esports and jobs for humans
I was reading a post the other day about Saudi Arabia’s government creating esports initiatives, and how they expect it to create tons of jobs in the economy over the years ahead. It got me thinking about how esports competitor may remain a viable job for humans long after AIs take many other jobs, because the entire appeal is to watch humans compete and excel. Thoughts on this?

Justin11 got a reaction from RedRainStudio in How much do you anticipate indie games with the simulation genre?
Indie game developers are doing something marvelous with their arts of creativity. For the fact that, they didn't get the resources like the so-called big video game companies, they still managed to do something appealing for users to enjoy. That's one food thing I love about the devs, and their games. With time, they'll develop further as more people embrace their game.

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in Games that you wished were on a PlayStation console.. but aren't?
Yeah it's always been an Xbox exclusive franchise. I think it originally was built in house and the moved on to another dev team. I may be wrong, never really played much Forza in my day. But it is considered to be one of the best racing franchises out there.
And hey, maybe one day we'll see Forza pop on PlayStation. With how some games are showing up on each others consoles, it's a possibility I think.

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in GTA 6 has leaked
I'm willing to bet you have more than enough time to complete GTA V. GTA VI won't be coming out for a while yet, likely another 2 years. The game looks to be getting close to completion, but it's clear there is still a lot of work to do before it officially releases. I think you have more than enough time. 🙂

Justin11 got a reaction from Ajibusu in Xbox Is Testing Game Pass Family Sharing
I understand your point, $20 is little but when summed up with other bills, it becomes something worrying when you have loads of bills to pay that month. That's why this new Xbox feature of 'sharing' is encouraging to users that has loads of bills to pay.

Justin11 reacted to Demon_skeith in What concepts do you want implemented in a future video game?
For me is to be able to save/stop at any moment, not all games support it, which sucks.

Justin11 reacted to Akun in What concepts do you want implemented in a future video game?
I'm always advocating for multiple paths in a game's storyline. I know it's hard to do, so I don't really have high hopes for such a feature to be more prevalent. But on the other hand, you get a JRPG like Shin Megami Tensei where some of their endgame content does contain multiple paths depending on whom you side with (SMT IV comes to mind). I believe Fire Emblem games also contain different paths based on whom you side with. I feel like this is mostly a JRPG thing though, because whenever a western RPG does it, they'd often resort to the lazy "slideshow" method like Fallout: New Vegas or Mass Effect 3, instead of creating three distinctly different gameplay levels based on player choices.
Now, obviously, games like Detroit: Become Human and The Dark Picture anthology could do it easily because they lack gameplay features outside of QTE, so it's easy to make them. But I would propose for game developers to be more daring and innovative, creating full game levels with multiple paths. You see this in older RPGs too like Dragon Age: Origins, so I don't know more AAA games these days don't have such features anymore. I heard The Witcher 3 had multiple paths, but I'm not really a fan of medieval fantasy settings, which is why when CD Projekt Red announced Cyberpunk: 2077, I thought we were going to get Witcher 3 with a sci-fi cyberpunk setting, with all the multiple paths Witcher 3 had to offer. Alas, that was not so, with the way the life paths were described by people who've played them.
Another cool concept I've really liked in the past is Undertale with the players' act of pacifism being a core important part of the story, and even though I had my problems with the message, Spec Ops: The Line had a nice concept like that as well, so I wouldn't mind seeing more games in the future turn the game genre on itself, like the Goombas in a Mario game calling out Mario for stomping on them all the time or something, or a Pokémon game where the questionable ethics of dog-fighting comes into question. Just spice things up a little and do a little subversion to make the familiar formula fresher, more interesting.
BioShock had a good idea in terms of farming the Little Sisters for ADAM, but they made it too easy morally to choose not to farm them. And I'm not talking about how challenging the gameplay is, but rather, making the decision more morally grey. I'm not exactly sure how to do it, especially in the obviously morally questionable objectivism of BioShock context, but a game where the innocence of a malicious ghost child comes into question would be interesting as well in horror games. Imagine having to play through Silent Hill 2 without killing any monsters, for example.
Speaking of horror games, here's a concept for you: a protagonist whose appearance becomes more grotesque depending on your moral actions, but the other characters actually call out on this. In most games that have such a feature, I feel like the NPCs don't usually call out on the protagonist's appearance, such as Mass Effect or even Fable.
How about a horror protagonist with some kind of disease that gradually makes them become as deformed as the monsters they fight? Maybe the deformed lump of flesh becomes a burden even that movement becomes harder by the end of the game, and maybe depending on your choices, you could either become one of the monsters or fight against the disease with all your might.
I don't know. I'm just spitballing here. 😛 Hope it helps. lol

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in Tattoo artist successfully sues 2K for replicating their designs
The tattoos of pro wrestler Randy Orton probably won't be added in future games. The tattoo artist who did the tattoos, has sued 2K and WWE for the use of her art, and she actually won. The artist has been in contact with the WWE since 2009 about merchandise using her designs. The WWE originally offered $450 to buy the rights, but she turned it down. And in 2018, she decided to sue as many past games featured the said tattoos.
2K thought it was fair use, but not the jury, they believe she was entitled to damages. Sadly those damages weren't much, as she only received $3,750 in damages. They found that since no one was buying the games for her art, she wasn't entitled to anything else.
Even so, this case could set a precedent for artists and their use of tattoos in games. Imagine the many games that feature real tattoos. It could in turn require developers/publishers to licence the tattoos, which I don't think would happen. If anything they would have to get creative and make up their own tattoos going forward. As I doubt studios will want to pay to license real tattoo art. Or they could pay a simple fee to use the tattoos, I'm sure she would gladly allow them to use the art if paid well.

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in GTA creator reports Rockstar places copyright strikes on his prototype videos
True, they have every right to take the content down, but I feel it's petty at this point, considering it's old and dated content that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I doubt TakeTwo/Rockstar cares what this old content shows. They just want to use their power on people because they can.

I see. Ours was actually a college course that we'd sign up for. Many times, the class was already full! Everybody always wanted the 6-9 p.m. class.
Best time for film course.

Justin11 got a reaction from Ajibusu in Games or game sections where you can avoid killing anything?
Sure, that's why I don't use cheats this time around, it was just in the past. I play mostly racing games, and I'm not bothered to search for their cheat code since I'm comfortable with the competition from opponents in the games.

Justin11 got a reaction from Ajibusu in Sequels becoming exclusives
Soon enough it will become boring though. Microsoft shouldn't prioritize making all video games under their affiliation as exclusive, depriving other gaming companies right to host the games via their own platforms. Their are others enjoying such kind of games via play station platforms, and would like to continue with sequels of those games and not being restricted unexpectedly due to Microsoft acquisition of the respective studios that made those games.

Justin11 got a reaction from melanie_marie27 in Does anybody save their old iPhone (s) ?
I understand your point bro, but when you don't have the technicality, you'll find it difficult to implement those steps learned watching YouTube tutorial video for that part. To make it easy, take it to a phone technician that needs such kind of electronic, and sell to the dealer and recoup some money.
