Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in What are your favourite gaming memories from the past?
Same here. I remember wanting to get a Sega Genesis forever when I was a kid. Bugging my dad to get one until he finally got us one for Christmas. I had a nes before it, but the genesis was the first console bought for my brother and I. And it was special for us. Then we got a PS1 for another Christmas and that too was pretty special.
I get that feeling everytime I buy a new console. But it's not 100% the same as it was when we were kids.

Justin11 reacted to Yaramaki in What's the absolute worst game you've ever played?
I had no idea rollercoaster tycoon was still around but oh man, i remember soaking hours on end on rollcoaster tycoon 1 and 2 back in the day on my dad his computer, shame to see what once was such a great franchise to be in such dire state like this and probably being milked dry for all that they possibly can.

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in MultiVersus Surpasses 20 Million Players in One Month
Just saying, even an interesting game could fail as a free to play game. It helps for something to look good, interesting, entertaining etc. But it doesn't always mean that game will do well.
Marvel Heroes was a free to play game that should have been better. It was free to play, allowed you to be a superhero I think, and of course the marvel characters. It had every chance to succeed but it failed.
There was also this cool looking mech game that was online and free to play. It had really good graphics, but I don't remember much else about it. I remember downloading it on my 360 I think, and trying it once and hating it. I also don't think there was many people playing.
The good thing about free to play as well, is that you can try the game out and if you don't like it, and you didn't spend a dime on it, that's a win in my book lol. 😄

Justin11 got a reaction from Empire Of Sight in How old to start gaming?
What if buying him all this things you mentioned and at the end your dad showed no interest in whatsoever related to racing game? Wouldn't it be a waste of money for you? 😂. But I wouldn't discourage you dude for what you want to get your dad into, it's a good means of bringing your dad having fun of his life.

Justin11 reacted to Crazycrab in Sony FINALLY have their own Pro-controller!
Ever since Microsoft released the XBox One Pro Controller for their platform gamers have been wondering when and/or if Sony would do the same for PlayStation. There has been a number of third party controllers over the years from the likes of Namco and Razer but nothing from PlayStation themselves... Until now.
They have just announced the DualSense Edge, a customisable version of the Dual Sense with swappable thumbsticks, adjustable triggers, custom profiles amoung other features.

So what do you think of the Dual Sense Edge?

Justin11 reacted to Kane99 in 10 video games banned around the world
This is an interesting list of games banned in certain parts of the world. Some example from the article below are; Fallout 3 is banned in India because of there being two headed mutant cows, and I guess in India, cows are very sacred animals. Another example is Pokemon Go, which was banned in Malaysia because of, and I quote: "The game promoted the search for power". What that means I have no clue, and neither does the article writer lol. Even Animal Crossing: New Horizons was banned in China because people were able to make clothing items that were against China and people can go to other islands wearing it, and so they decided to just outright ban the game.
There are others on this list, but you can read the rest here - https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/banned-video-games
Any of these odd to you?

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in Little Nightmares
I own a PS4, and the only reason I was aware of Little Nightmares being a PS+ game was because I update the PS+ into thread. If I didn't do that every month, it would probably have escaped my attention as well as I've mostly been gaming on PC recently. Even I would probably have to check that thread to tell you what was on PS+ right now. You said what you said, and I don't think it justified, but @Justin11 agrees well just let it be and move on, but try not to jump to conclusions.

Justin11 got a reaction from killamch89 in Xbox CEO Phil Spencer excepts fewer console exclusives going forward
When Microsoft rack up all gaming studios, it becomes less competitive and less exclusive, since it is centred to one gaming company. But such doesn't bother me, provided that I am playing my favourite games on PS, exclusive can be there or not.

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in Sony, You Idiots! PS5 Price Increase Announced
The thing about this is that it actually makes far less sense for Valve to do this sort of thing because the Steam Deck, like any Gaming PC, does not guarantee a revenue stream for them, not like a console does for Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. It is quite possible for someone to buy a Steam Deck, install windows on it then only ever buy games from EGS or GOG, for example. The vast majority of people won't do that and will use Steam at least along with other services, but the point is Valve get it, Sony used to get it, but then don't get it now?
Agreed. If Sony had said "Sorry that we have to increase the price of the PS5, but we'll throw in a few months of PS+ Premium for each new console sold after the new prices kick in." or perhaps a free game, then I would be a little more forgiving. But no, it's "We're jacking up the price, please form an orderly queue to suck it.".

Justin11 got a reaction from Gonassis in Resident Evil Decades of Horror Game Bundle from Humble Bundle
RE got lots of editions, you can choose from 1-8 depending the one that pokes your interest. I love RE- 2, RE-4 and RE-7. I am yet to play the newest edition, RE-8, since my attention shifted to other action adventure games.

Justin11 reacted to Empire Of Sight in Video Game Streaming Sees Significant Drop In Audience Over Last Quarter
Thankfully if I ever want to leave I can I just feel I've invested way too much money and time here over the last few years to run before its impossible to stay for mental health xD.
Would love for all the nonsense to end but there's some understanding that the population has almost zero resistance at this point because of the measures taken over the last 3 years... Still I would love for a magical "we are done with zero covid the "war on the virus is won!" because the global economy needs that message more than anything right now.. The markets have spanked me this year haha.
One thing cool thing is to watch a countries ability to randomly lock down a city of 25million people in 4 hours completely. That was an insane sight to behold lol.

Justin11 got a reaction from Empire Of Sight in If you were a SuperHero what would be your dark/sad back story?
If I am a super hero as your thread title implies, I wouldn't worry much about my career endeavour, because I got the super power to transform anything I want and avoid anything that will cause me sadness. I'll gladly make a career in football to fulfill my childhood dream.

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in Playstation is being sued
Don't get me wrong, I want him to succeed here, I truly do, but I'm also a realist and thus I believe he is going to fall on his ass because I don't think he fully understands how this works. Whether Sony are right or wrong in this is irrelevant, what matters is that, as far as I can tell, how Sony charges commission is the basis for his whole argument and it doesn't make sense. Not only is that a weak argument to make on behalf of the consumer anyway, is it also pretty much the exact same thing that happens throughout the industry, so either everybody is guilty of this or nobody is. Even retailers selling physical copies of games charge commission, that's how they get a cut.
This would make sense if he could prove that Sony was consistently charging more for thier games on PSN then on anywhere else. I decided to test this by looking at how a random game was priced across the board and after just that on game this this theory is already looking shaky. The game I choose was Stray.
Here is how much Stray costs on the British PSN Store right now. This is for the PS4 and PS5 version
And on Steam...
OK, it's £1 less. And I'll say, I don't think Sony can justify that. They probably would have some sort of bullshit excuse lined up, but it's starting to look like Alex Neill has a case, until you take a look at GAME, the high street retailer that operates in the UK. That's important because that is where this law suit is being filed. (BTW, I have no idea why GAME is still listing this as a pre-order when the game is already out, but I promise you this fresh is a screen snip I just took for this very post.)
How on earth is Alex going to prove Sony are ripping people off when the country's most prominant video game retailer is charging a full £10 more for the same game? You see, he has not thought this through.

Justin11 got a reaction from Gonassis in What device do you game on?
That's the one I can lay my hands on at the moment, others in which I love are way off my budget. So, I will stick with Tecno devices at the moment, because they're affordable. When I raise more miscellaneous funds then I can go for Samsung phones.

That's quite shrewd investment if you ask me, I pay 30$ and I have those list of RE games in a single file. That's something anyone who cherishe RE series should do and save reasonable amount of money.

Justin11 got a reaction from Empire Of Sight in What are the long-term health consequences of playing esports professionally?
It relates to the long duration effects of playing video games. If you play games for a very long period of time, their are consequences behind it and those consequences are as follows:
- Lack of motivation at some point in that respective game. Playing long hours can lead to lack of motivation within short period of time for a single game.
- Aggressiveness; playing long hours when we can't walk past a particular level increases aggression and makes one to be frustrated at some point in the game.
- Depression.
- Dehydration
- Bad sleeping habit
- And most importantly 'Exhaustion. When we play too much we'll feel burnt, we need rest as humans, continuous playing of video games can lead to frequent exhaustion.

Justin11 reacted to DC in What are the long-term health consequences of playing esports professionally?
What about arthritis and overall bone/joint/muscle discomfort? This seems possible especially if one has poor posture and an inadequate gaming set-up and chair agronomics. Furthermore, looking at a monitor for long periods of time can cause eyestrain and weakened eyesight.

Correct. Some persons have allowed ego to drive them away from the common truth, and doing what they preached against. Humans are made with ego, but it will be cool we control it, so we wouldn't go contrary from the real truth.
