Ubisoft have been sloopy when it comes to copying other game's mechanics and they were actually caught red handed with what they did with Assassin's Creed : Odyssey in copying both the game mechanics and used in The Witcher : Wild Hunt and Middle Earth : Shadow of War.

I don't know, I wouldn't say that so much. I think a lot of these ideas are fine to replicate in other games, as long as it's not 100% copied and is made their own, it should be fine. THat's the beauty of this sort of thing, because legally people can make similar styles of games, but they need to make it their own and not copy it to a point where it's exactly the same thing. It needs to be changed just enough and even be an improvement in some ways for it to be allowed.

That's why you see so many similar devices out there. Because people produce products to compete with those things.

At this point in time in the gaming industry, all the big studios are going round and round copying each other, it's hardly a surprise anymore, that's one of the reasons I keep my eye on indie devs nowadays. 😉

Sleeping at anytime during the day or night is healthy, you could take a good nap during the day and not feel sleepy at night because Maybe that's how the body works.

I still game at night because it helps me stay awake and after about an hour I would start working because I enjoy working at night it's often more quiet and peaceful.

well I used to do long naps in the daytime, when I played until early morning, but now I just do short naps in the daytime. 😉

It's watching movies that does that to me more often than gaming. I have fallen asleep a few times when playing video games at night but it doesn't happen often like it does whenever I'm watching movies.

It's probably because playing video games get me involved in the process, so using the controller keeps me more active and awake unlike just sitting and leaning back to enjoy the movie.

yeah, sometimes the pacing of a slow movie will do that to you, but you won't fall asleep as much if you are actually doing something with your hands like moving the mouse, WASD, or mashing the controller. 😁

    Lol

Ads could be annoying Especially when you are deeply engrossed in watching a content and then it suddenly comes up.

I can't actually say it's a good thing for Netflix to bring on their screen play but if that's a more viable solution for them they could try it out.

True, ads can be annoying like that, maybe it'd be fine for me if the ads were at the start of an episode, and then at the end of an episode...

maybe even one in the middle too, or placed appropriately at the right moment.

Ah, I think maybe my thread topic was unclear. I meant politics internal to MMO game worlds, like ... players trying to gain in-game political power or use it to create in-game change.

once upon a time, I used to play text based MMORPG's then I remember fantasizing about a complex merchant-political system...

Then I realized how complicated that would be, and I thought that would just remain a pipe dream. 😅 although I think one day something like that could still be implemented in a game of any kind, just maybe not in the way I imagined.

Naughty Dog didn't make Stray. It was developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive.

Honestly would be pretty cool. Especially if they can make it in first person as well.

I'm not sure if VR for stray would be quite a good idea, but I think I'll have to see it first before I judge if it's good. 😎
There are too little epic VR games at the moment. 🤔

This Assassin’s Creed: Revelations trailer is a really good one.

I absolutely love this trailer. From old man Ezio, to that awesome song. This is how you make a top notch cinematic trailer. Then again, Assassin's Creed has been known to produce some great trailers over the years. But hands down, this trailer is the best AC has ever had to offer. At least in terms of trailers. Honestly I'd say it's Ubisoft's best trailer of all time.

I remember loving this trailer a lot... The Ezio arc of the Assassin's Creed was truly the best storyline of all.
I also remember being hyped about the Assassin's Creed movie, but it turned out to be just okay, not highly epic though. 😐

Now that I think about it, time travel isn't something that comes up very often as a theme in games, but it can have a real impact when it's done well. Zelda OOT and the first Life is Strange come to mind, and they were both fantastic. The both also handled the time travel concept in a very different way.

Life is strange is one of the best time travel mechanics I'd played, though there are others too, that are great.

Chrono Trigger and Radiant Historia both feature time travel as a main mechanic.

I've heard so much about time chrono trigger as a classic game, I think I'll have to "pull the trigger" and try it out sometime I think. 😁

I completely forgot life is strange has elements of time travel. I still need to play the sequel. I heard mixed things about that one though.

Nice, I'll have to check them out. I think I played 5 min of Chrono Trigger. Will def have to check it out again.

@kane99 you can check out deathloop too, now that is some definite time travel to advance the plot. 😉

Losing subscribers isn't a good thing for a company like Netflix that relies mainly on it for profit and that's why they were talking about bringing back ads to Netflix.

Let's Just wait and see what their next move would be.

I'm also waiting to see what their next move will be, as I'm interested in how these big companies move their chess pieces.

also adding ads doesn't sound that bad to me as I'm used to that on YouTube. (I turned my adblocker off, so my favorite creators can get revenue lol) 😂

I think GT630 would serve better than a potato for this game, there could be a few downsides to it but as long as you can cope with a few game glitches and slow pace here and there then that GPU is fine.

There is even a mobile version of this game you could try it out as well.

haha, a potato indeed... that is truly an old GPU anyway... 🥔🥔🥔

maybe it could run at minimum settings too.

thanks, I'll see if the mobile game is any worth looking into. 😁

What if I'm trying to save, and the weight becomes much on me, and we crumble together? it is a bit risky, but if I have the power, I'll save all three, adopting a technics that will make me act smart and quicker.

wow, we got a superhero right here lol. 😁

anyway, if it were up to me and it was only truly one, well... the child would be my pick. unless he was 200KG though. 🤔

I finally cave in and bought Bullet Soul as you suggest it would be good for beginners. Unfortunatly, I cocked up and bought the standard version of the games instead of Infinite Burst (They both cost the same), so I'll wait for Steam to sort out the refund, buy Infinite Burst they share my thoughts on it. I did play a little before requesting the refund and I like what I see so far.

oof, now that was a mayhem mix up hope you get that sorted out...

also I was wondering... I was never really super good at SHMUP games, but I still play it. lol, do you need serious training mode if you want to get better at bullet hell games? 🔥🔥🔥😭

  12. I can't say I had any experience of games that traumatized me, as I didn't really get access to playing much games as a child, but there are movies that scared me. 😂
like pet sematary (1989) for example. 🙀

There are plenty of jumspcare games to play nowadays, and having played slenderman in the past, that didn't traumatize me... only scared me for a few minutes at best. 😋

I'd highly reccomend it if you're into competitive arena shooters. It's free to play. It's like halo but you can also shoot portals. Very fun and frantic and the portals make it feel strategic as well.

It may be niche but the matchmaking is very fast. Partially because it has crossplay enabled across 8th gen 9th gen consoles and PC.

This looks so good, I like the graphics, weapon design and star wars features. I would definitely check it out in my ps4 console as soon as I can.

On 6/3/2022 at 4:30 AM, NightmareFarm said:

Yeah, it's worth a try since it's free(it's in beta).

huh, interesting, I've always been a fan of FPS games, I think this would be fun since it's like a child of HALO and portal, would sure be quite a tactical experience using portals... but if I recall correctly, there's also a character in apex legend that utilizes portals right? 🤔

Also, I just wonder if my friends PC could run this with a GT630 potato GPU. 🥔

it meets all the other required specs though, asides the GPU probably. 😅

  14. I sort of kinda liked the older feel of the aesthetic made by rockstar... that said these unreal trailers looks cool but it gives me some uncanny valley vibes...

Or maybe that isn't it... it just feels a bit off to me. But in any case, I liked the more cartoony feel of the older game, even if it was an sort of outlier game made by Rockstar Games. 🧨

I also recently watch a whole dissection of the bully game/story. Good ole memories. also, school politics that's cartoonized. ugh lol.

This was a very fun recap/review and revisit of the bully game overall. Give it a watch, the narrator adds more fun with the commentary too.
