  1. I would say that it counts as a 'puzzle' if it has these two things:

    1. A test of one's logic skills, and;

    2. A definite goal or solution.

    I was going to say "a definite solution" (like some other people here) - but actually, I think that's a little bit restrictive. For example, the levels in Infinifactory don't have one single 'right' solution: each chamber can be solved in many different ways, and it's up to you to invent a solution (and then, if you want, try and optimise it). I'd still classify it as a puzzle game, though!

  2. Yes, they certainly affected my childhood! Off the top of my head, here are the ones I had:

    - LEGO Island

    - LEGO Chess

    - LEGO Racers

    - LEGO Rock Raiders

    - Legoland

    - LEGO Stunt Rally

    - LEGO Alpha Team

    - LEGO Racers 2

    - Football Mania

    - Bionicle Heroes

    Of these, LEGO Racers was probably the most successful of the bunch: I still play it occasionally now, over 20 years later. But I think Legoland also helped me get into Roller Coaster Tycoon a bit further down the line!

  3. The very first family computer we had was in 1995. Was pretty mind-blowing at the time, but it only had a 100MHz processor, and it wasn't even connected to the internet!

    However, the first computer I owned was a Toshiba laptop that I got in 2009. I actually acquired it through a university grant... wasn't the best computer (and it was particularly lacking in hard drive space, with only 65GB), but other than that, it did the job 🙂 .
