To be fair to Bethesda, the studio really isn't known for microtransactions. In fact, it's really only Fallout 76 and their mobile titles which have had microtransactions at all - prior to that, they had none. I don't think the mobile titles represent any sort of see change, that's pretty much to be expected from a mobile game, and I think the studio saw a hefty backlash to them in Fallout 76. Moreover, I think the biggest reason why they're in that game specifically is because it's an online multiplayer game.
I'd be quite surprised to see them put microtransactions into a proper single-player title, especially since recent big games like God of War have shown they really aren't necessary for such games. Even if they did, I expect they'd be fairly minimal, and likely as a trade-off to paid DLC, as we saw with Fallout 76 - fund DLC development through microtransaction sales. That's not such a bad business model.

I am kind of familiar with the ARk games (never played them myself but know of them) but I didn't know about PixArk. I look forward to hearing the interviews because you always make quality content.

I agree with you completely - I'm not sure what Kojima is going for here because I have way more questions. Being that Kojima is the creator of the Metal Gear Series, I'll tend to give the game a chance because Kojima usually delivers. He tends to be able to find a good balance between gameplay and storytelling so I won't jump to conclusions just yet. Another thing we are guaranteed is that the game will be completely functional from Day one.

I liked that move from Sony that they will still release some of their major games on the PS4 , thruth many people purchased PS4's and it will be a waste to not take advantage of that. I barely got mine last Christmas and I was loosing my mind when the PS5 was announced a few months later.

If the game has expansion and some of the needy levels where you have specific need for hero or his upgrades. I don't think there is issue with microtransaction in such case. If the game is free and upgrades cost some money, I don't mind pushing for microtransaction either. I think some games have to consider that chance for revenue, nothing wrong with that. 

Absolutely. I'm a big fan of the Total War series, which of course is a very historical franchise (Warhammer games aside!) - I've been writing a series of character profiles for the upcoming Total War: Three Kingdoms looking at the literary and historical backgrounds of characters who will be featuring. (I also did a series for Battlefield 5 looking at the historical battles which inspired battles in the game.) I haven't written any Three Kingdoms ones for a while, as I've been busy with other news, but I'm getting back to it today to finish the series ahead of the game's release!
