Alexander. got a reaction from Gonassis in Should I build an old pc for old games?
I wouldn't know where to start, but something is telling me some retro video games could be compatible with Linux? Nonetheless, this sounds such a fresh concept and a fun project to partake. My suggestion to you would be looking at some YouTube tutorials on how to build a PC for older titles.

Unless you are taking a personal computer to work with you, most work PC's are restricted or prohibit downloading software without managers permission. What kind of niche? Are you looking for only free games? Breaks aren't that long at work, so I would suggest looking at MiniClip or Arkadium.
These titles load instantly in your web browser.

@Shagger has hit the nail on the head, as to why this wouldn't work out in a game title. Some videos on YouTube have explored this concept to give other gamers the chance to experience the sight of second person gaming. Personally? I would always stick with 1st, and it makes aiming at your opponent far easier.

My favourite sub-sandwich restaurant has to be a Subway. Even though franchisees own their restaurants, I love how appealing the food is.  Subway staff will make a sandwich on how the customer requests it, whether this is extra veggies, cheese or meat. From the fresh bread to an appealing salad bar, the whole experience is superb. The refillable soda machine is a massive plus for me too.

Alexander. got a reaction from killamch89 in Alternative Endings, good or hell no
Multiple endings as an idea are fine. However, as a gamer myself, I am very curious. If I picked one option, I always look back and think what would of happened if I choose the other and vise versa. Nonetheless, I love video games that give gamers the chance to use their initiative.

Alexander. got a reaction from killamch89 in What purposes can games serve?
A video game can serve many purposes, and it really depends on the person for which purpose it serves. For me, games are a form of escapism to relax and unwind from a hard days work or studying. I play computer games for solely entertainment reasons.

The fact that I need to pay my bills and debt won't pay itself. Although there isn't the sole reason for me getting out of bed, the other half rests within spending time with loved ones, friends, and socialising with others. It's a bit of both.

That's hard because I have been using both Amazon and Netflix. Both streaming services have their perks and drawbacks, but for sure I would pick Amazon any day of the week. Why? It's because for £7 month not only do I have access to TV and Films, I can also order products with 1 day delivery at no extra charge.

I have done this a handful of times. I remember doing it once when I was caught by a teacher. It's trying to hide the device underneath the desk, while ensuring the tutor doesn't notice you.

Quarantine has been positive for me. It's always good to try and turn a negative into a positive. I've improved my cooking skills, devoted more time on my YouTube channel and website, and learned how to communicate virtually with people with technology.

What would you say is your most favoured Disney movie? Explain why below.
Mine is The Lion King. The songs are fun and catchy and there are parts of the video which made me very emotional. Has to be the best animated film I've ever seen.

Alexander. got a reaction from killamch89 in Will we see less and less games release on the Xbox One and PS4?
Yes. Like previous platforms, we'll see a very downward trend and eventually they'll stop making titles for such consoles years down the line. Just like the Xbox 360, video games are no longer being produced for this platform. This forces gamers to upgrade their console to the later version resulting in profits to the big companies.

Alexander. got a reaction from killamch89 in What company is the most corrupt in the gaming industry?
Everyday, gaming businesses are increasingly becoming corrupt. Large corporations such as EA, Ubisoft, and Blizzard are only a few companies who are destroying their games with micropayments or premium material that should actually be in the game.   It's a real shame.

Black Friday is definitely going to be different this year. Many of the shops in England are closed due to the Lockdown that was implemented with the increasing rise of COVID cases & deaths. So, we'll see a lot of people making their purchases online and grabbing bargains through online marketplaces like, Amazon.

I remember growing up playing Flash Games, and even to this day, I will occasionally sit down and enjoy a session. My favourites are Space Invaders, Free Rider HD, and Tetris. On the other hand, technology and the gaming industry is evolving at record speed, and new titles are being released with updated tech. Flash will and has been replaced.

Alexander. reacted to Crazycrab in 8gb ram still worth?
Sorry but you're wrong.  Modern games, even massive, system hungry, full boar and roar, AAA budget, open world, high graphical fidelity games in truth... don't use anything close to that much system RAM.  In case you don't believe me this is a this a screenshot I just took of resource manager while playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I will point that I was playing on Ultra at 1440p and I was in game, not in the menu or anything:

The reason for this as I've tried to explain before is the game engines much prefer to use the VRAM on the card, NOT the system RAM on the motherboard whenever possible.  It's faster, easier to access and that is exactly what the developers design their games to do (if they are optimising their games properly that is) because the system RAM is used for system tasks such as the OS and desktop apps like Chrome in my case.  Results will vary and it depends largely on how much VRAM is on your particular graphics card.

I still maintain that 16Gb is better to play it safe, which is what I have and you might have noticed I'm using more than half with both AC and Chrome running.  But for lower tier setups I still think 8Gb will play most modern games fine.

Which channel do you watch for news updates? I watch BBC Breakfast every morning. However, if you stream or download any BBC content, consumers are legally bound to pay a TV License fee which is £157.50 in England. I can't entirely agree with the charge and personally believe the license should abolish or the money should go to good causes. They already get enough revenue from ad-breaks.

If that ability is removed then the game will become copy of PUBG and something that fortnite is trying hard to avoid. in fact they are trying so hard that they are coming out with options of flying, swimming maps and stuff.
