  1. Who here listens too music whilst they are working? Are you allowed? I work in a Retail Superstore as a Customer Service Advisor. It can be deemed rude by the customer while you are talking and serving so I choose not too. I don't think it's allowed, either.
  2. What Graphics Card do you use on your PC? Although, do you have the ability to play most of the video games that you want with it? I'm using the Nitro Graphics Card and I have no complaints. I'm planning to upgrade however at the moment, it's fit for purpose and runs all the computer games that I want. I've copied and pasted further details of my system information.
  3. Do you use internet banking, if so why? What are the main advantages and disadvantages of using this service offered by banks? Convivence is crucial for my finances, it's faster and easier than going down to a cash point in my opinion.
  4. When browsing the internet or watching your favourite Gamer on YouTube, do you use Adblocker? I have two browsers installed, Chrome and Microsoft. One has the add-on installed and the other is without, I alternate between internet browsers depending if I want to support a website or content creator, such as VGR Forums.
  5. I use my Acer Gaming Laptop and my primary use for it is, Gaming. My Norton Security Standard has just expired but I have a week to decide if I want to renew my subscription for another year. Would me renewing or does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative Anti-VIrus? I found Norton slowed the processing speeds and the CPU. At the moment, I'm using the free Windows Defender that is, is this enough protection? I'm looking for some good video game deals, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Gamers, how often do you charge your phone? What phone do you have? I have a Huawei Y7. Depending on what Applications I'm running and how often it's being used, generally it will last 2 days at the most before I need to fully recharge the battery. Phones with longer battery lives come in handy for portable gaming on the move.
  7. Gamers, How much do you pay for your internet and what are the connection speeds? I live in a rented apartment and all bills are included, including WiFi. Generally speaking, the upload speed is 30MBP and the download is 60-80 depending on how many users are using it. Some forum members maybe looking a better broadband deal, if you know of a good deal, please share it to help others who are spending more than they need too.
  8. What phone do you have for the primarily use of Gaming? What are the specifications? What mobile games do you currently have installed and what would you recommend to fellow gamers on the VGR Forum? I own the Huawei Y7 in Blue, I've posted the details below. Just under 5GB of isn't a lot of for mobile gaming, considering most of the games are atleast 200MB to download onto the device, maybe more. As a result, I'm considering a micro-sd to expand my phone's storage capacity.
  9. When you are purchasing gaming merch or computer games or equipment, which payment provider do you use and why? I use PayPal over other payment services as it provides security against unauthorised transactions and buyer protection. PayPal is widely known around the world and is accepted by a wide variety of merchants.
  10. This topic is for YouTubers who create gaming content for their loyal subscribers. Have any content creators ever come across a copyright/guideline strike and what was it for? YouTube classified as the video as inappropriate content at the time, from my understanding I didn't violate any of their terms and conditions. Looking back, they could of considered my video be unsolicited advertising by sharing a Gift Card App or on the other hand, a scam. This happened a couple of years ago now, I doubt this will affect future partnerships. Has this ever happened to you? Do you think it was a "fair" decision by YouTube's Employees?
  11. Some of us don't have enough storage on our devices to store images, videos or thumbnails to be edited at a later date for uploading on social media websites, YouTube for example. What free cloud storage do you use and why? By using Google Drive, you can receive a free 15GB, a massive 15,000MB of free storage all for free. Personally, I use Drive and as the online service provides ease of access to my files stored allowing me to retrieve them anytime I need for editing gaming videos for my YouTube Channel. I erase the content from Google after I'm finished creating the YouTube Video giving me more space for anymore documents I wish to upload onto Google Drive.
  12. Generally speaking, most of the time I avoid shopping online and rather buy items instore instead. I'm mostly frightened of Fraud/Scams and an excessive delay in delivery. Returning products can also be a difficult process in the event that you change your mind or if the good isn't fit for purpose.
  13. I go for a full health check at my local GP (general practitioner) once every month, possibly more depending on the situation and if I'm feeling unwell. The national health service (NHS) pay's for it so I'm not left in financial difficulty from medical expenses. Rather than being terrified, I like going to check up appointments as prevention is better than cure.
  14. My chosen favourite online retailer has to be Amazon. I've invested in Amazon Prime and not only does this give me access to thousands of movies and TV shows but also free one day delivery on selected products. You can't beat their Customer Service and fulfilment times. In the end, you'll end up saving more by using this retailer over alternate competitors such as eBay due to the benefits which Amazon offer to it's customers.
  15. Reading is essential to help us improve our native language. Either Books, Magazines, newspapers, or articles which do you actively read? If you can recall, do you know the name or website as I'm looking for more to read. Most of the time I pick up a Tech or Gaming Magazine from my local superstore.
  16. If you could change one thing about how technology and games are evolving, what would it be and why? Generally speaking, what new types of gaming tech would you like to see released in the next five years? Do you think technology has gone far in terms of evolution or are we heading in the right direction? What do you all think about an implant in the brain which is similar to a PC?
  17. My upload schedule was once a week. Just a enough to keep my loyal subscribers watching my video and to continue my channel growing. As of today, I'm not an active YouTuber and have no upload schedule. What to any other fellow YouTubers, how often do you upload? Daily, weekly or monthly? How many subscribers do you have as of 2019?
  18. What time of day is the most appropriate for Gaming? Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night? Night time for me as this is when I have more time to dedicate after a long hard shift at work. I don't have to worry about anything besides getting a good nights rest. An hour before I go to bed I put all the screens down and do a alternative activity such as reading. I believe it promotes a health sleep pattern. Vote in the Poll!
  19. What room do you use it and what platform do you play? Is it Ultra 4K and what's the resolution? Do you mind me asking what the specifications and how much you paid for it? Are you happy with your purchase, so far and which store did you buy it from?
  20. Windows or Linux, tell me what operating system do you currently have installed? I have been using Windows for nearly a decade now and without question, it's better for gaming. Windows has a wide variety of high end games and Linux doesn't. Vote in the Poll and let's see which operating system gets the most votes.
  21. Do you ever get headaches whilst staring at screen for pro longed periods of time? What home remedy works best for you? This morning, I have more of an annoying headache than anything under my eye. What would you suggest for me? I can't find any pain killers in the room to deal with it. Any suggestions?
  22. Alexander.

    PC Warranty

I purchased my PC last year and it comes with a full extended year protection. I never really believed in warranties for electrical purchases until now. I purchased my Laptop from Currys PC World in September, in 2018. The employee said the damaged wasn't caused by liquid alternatively it was because of typing excessively which caused a fault in the keyboard? There is an option to renew it for another 3 years for £15.00 a month when it expires. I'm considering of renewal as I need it for my self employed free lance work. The repair would cost me £160.00 + Labour and parts so it's probably worth thinking about. What's your view on warranties, do you have one and have you ever had to use it?
  23. Good question. I have attached a picture of my Gaming Chair so you can visually get a better understanding. The chair itself is extremely cosy and at any time I can lean back and relax when taking a break. Looking back, I would rather purchased an white cushion instead of yellow/beige but it's very comfortable so I can't moan! What about yourself?
  24. Don't mean to moan at you here however you get your prioritises set. Constantly being late for work could result in disciplinary action be taken against you or even worse, getting fired. Are you asking us how much time we spend gaming averagely on a daily basis? As I've been growing up, I found there are a growing number of responsibilities and commitments such as Work and Paying Bills to avoid debt. It really depends on a variety of factors including how much money I have left over at the end of the month when I get paid, if any. More importantly, the time remaining after I have finish my shift at work which is vey minimal so in answer to your question everyday I'll be lucky to fit in 1 hour of one of my favourite hobbies, Gaming.
  25. In what room in your apartment or your parents house do you have your set up situated at? What does your setup consist of? Mine is a PC Build and it's located in my bedroom in the apartment I live in. It's a quiet, peaceful space where I can have time to myself or with friends Gaming. As my PC is a Laptop, the majority of my gaming is done in my room as mentioned. Although, occasionally I'll go round my friends to play a few computer games. Portability is great positive for Laptop Gamers.
