Get a file cabinet and a switch box. It'll simplify your life immensely.
-
I spent part if the day playing Zelda and the other part playing FF8.
-
None of them are computer games. All of them are cartridges except the PlayStation games. Those are obviously discs.
-
It depends on the game. If it's a console game that is strictly an online game, then no. It shouldn't be paid. Now if it's something like WoW, that's a bit of a gray area. But take FF14. That's a game that shouldn't cost to play. I know you can play it on a console or PC but that's irrelevant.
-
I've never played the game once in my life, and I'm not trying to insult it in any way. I know absolutely nothing about it so I have no basis to form an opinion hence, I have no right to insult it. But I have to ask one question. What is the allure of Minecraft? A ton of people are playing it, and I've seen the graphics, which incidentally are no problem for me, but I've never heard anyone say specifically what it is about the game that draws them in.
Also, it's an online game right? Like with a monthly fee type of thing?

There's 2 arcades here in my town, and both are always swamped. One is in the mall, and the other is downtown. It's loads of fun, and brings back so much nostalgia for those of us from the older generation.
I pop in and play every once in a while, and since I'm only interested in playing, I always give my tickets to one of the little kids in there. I don't need or want them, but the kids do. So why waste them?
-
I absolutely LOVE FF8. It's my absolute favorite in the entire series. I don't see how anyone could not like it. But it's all opinions when it comes to games. For some it's pure gold, for others it's pure shit. But still what was it that you hated if you remember any specifics about FF8?
-
If someone wants to make a game of this nature, then they should use fake but relevant scenarios. Never real life tragedies, never the actual killers names or faces, and call it something like Daemon School or something. In the developers own heads, they can be picturing whatever the hell they want, but they don't have the right to pull this shit here.

In my opinion, Google is a great search engine. But that's where their quality ends. Gmail to me is useless. Just a shitty mail program. Granted I know it's the trend right now, and a lot of people love it, but I'm sticking with Hotmail. And all these little side projects that Google keeps coming up with (anyone remember Google Glass?) are just really sad. If they would put some money, research, and time into the development into these items, plus a test run with a good number of people, then maybe they could make some good projects. But until that starts happening, Google is only a search engine for me, and nothing more.

There are studies for both pros and cons when it comes to gaming. In moderation, it's good and can be beneficial. If you overdo it, just like anything else, it can be bad for you.
Very well said.

I buy a lot of plastic tubs at Walmart. I fill one up, then buy another. I write on them what system they're for and that takes care of it. I keep them under my coffee table for the most part so they're out of the way. Then when I want to play a game, I just pull it out and pop it in. The only hiccup is the NES. But you gotta remember that it's a 30 year old system so it's gonna be moody as hell.
-
I'm not the most educated about Steam, but I doubt the people behind it would tolerate it. Thankfully.
-
I am the worst on earth at puzzle games. I tried playing Riven when I was younger. I installed it, and loaded it up. For me there was no game. Just a walk around some beautiful scenery. I had no clue how it was sold as a game, due to the fact that I had no clue what the hell I was supposed to be doing. Since then I haven't touched another game of that sort.
-
I played Minesweeper due to a lack of options. After a while it got so monotonous I would've rather counted the blades of grass in my yard.
-
I rage-quit when I keep trying to get through one part and keep losing at it. For those that can remember, in the special area on Super Mario World (SNES) the second stage that's called Tubular, is next to impossible to beat. I tried for about 2 hours today to beat it. I finally did, but I was losing my mind and going ballistic. Super bitch on steroids in overdrive. I was not a happy girl.

When I was a kid, I played a few games that required movement. A few Wii games, and a couple in the arcade. Now, due to my disability, and the fact that I'm in a wheelchair, I can't really play them anymore. I have to stick to games that have a simple controller where all I move is my fingers, or I'll wear myself out too much and pass out. That's kinda why I'm on the computer so damn much.
-
I used to go to the arcade a lot when I was younger. I remember being ranked #6 on Soul Caliber 2 out of the top 100, and that machine was always packed. I also played a lot of Silent Scope. One of the best sniper games I ever saw. Then there was one that I really enjoyed but just didn't seem to take off for some reason. It was Dance Maniax. Similar to DDR, but with this one you use your hands instead of your feet. I loved it. I sucked hard, but I still loved it. Then there's the classic that I've never heard ANYONE complain about.
Skeeball.

Here's my game library. I'll let you be the judge. I also have a lot of PS2 games, but I'm not sure where they are, so I didn't include them in this list.

And for those thinking I have a turd in my pocket because I was saying "we" in my post, I'm married.
-
I just hope the survivors never find out about this so called "game". There's no telling how damaging it would be to them.
-
It can be therapeutic from time to time. For example when I get really pissed off, I'll pop in MK or SF2 and just beat the shit out of people on it. I can't go out in the street and start attacking people, but on there I can use Scorpion to rip apart Liu Kang. Or Blanka to fry Chun Li. Another game that I just put on practice mode so there's no timer or health bar is Soul Caliber 2. The NES version had Link as a special guest character, so that was fun. But to be honest I was always best with Kilik.

Do you like the forums and sub-forums the way they are set up? Are they easy to navigate?Yes. I've been to other forums with this layout, so I'm familiar with it.
Are there any features you’d like to add or remove?Maybe enable the albums. I think it would be interesting.
Would you like to see features like being able to list your PSN username (for example) on your Profile or a VGR free-to-play arcade?I can't say either way, since I don't actually have a PSN account. A free-to-play arcade would be cool though.
Do you like the look and feel of the forum?Yes. It's a lot better than the default white background and blue lettering.
Is it easy to create new topics? Do you experience any errors when you use the forum?Very easy actually. My only complaint, is that I would like to be able to preview my post before I post it. If I just missed it, or it's not there that could be one thing to look into.
Are you happy with the culture and policies on VGR forum? Do you feel welcome and included?Yes. Everything is laid back. No one freaks out over graphic language unless it's off the wall offensive. It's just a good place to kick back, kick off your shoes, and relax. Also there's not many gaming forums online, and most of them are pure shit and/or catering to only one brans (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, etc.). Which is annoying as hell. Here you include everything. It's very well done.
-
Actually it is ambient to a huge number. By your definition, because it is pleasing to the ears. You may not like it, which is perfectly fine. It's your right to make your own choices. But don't push your opinions onto others.

Angelo in FF8. He could learn so many attacks and tricks, and was always there when Rinoa needed him.

Most imaginative enemies in a video game?
in Video Games
Posted
Yeah, I mean just look at this little shithead. Crack is not your friend people.
And a few interesting facts about it:
1) You only get 1 AP for killing it.
2) You get no XP for killing it.
3) It can kill you in one shot. Trust me on this one.
4) It has around 20k-30k HP on average.
So who in their right mind would waste their time with it? After killing around 20 of them it lures out their king which is actually a GF, that has some VERY nice abilities. If you no longer want to have to go to town to buy items it has an ability that is called Call Shop where all you have to do is go into your ability screen and there it is. No matter where you are in the world.
On a side note who remembers the Bite Bugs? There is one, I don't know whether to call it funny or disturbing, fact about this little daemonic monstrosity from Satan's last bowel movement. I found this out about a year ago. It can fly up and FART on you. Yes that's right. Fart. How do I know it farted on me you ask? Because when it's not a standard physical attack, theres a bar at the top of the screen tha tells you what the attack is. And in big bold letters, it said FART.
