In my early teens, mine was trollbait666 because I used to troll a lot in online multiplayer games (still do). Just creating total chaos in-game and being called all kinds of names for consistently letting down my teammates.

I agree - Most just want the fame and the clout for being a top player without actually developing the skill to earn such praise. I've never cheated in online multiplayer games and don't ever intend to.

Yep and I'm honestly glad because E3 strayed away from a gamer-oriented conference to a gaming release trailer festival with little to no gameplay on most of the announced games. Plus I heard there's another conference which was created by a former member of the E3 team so that puts the nail in the coffin when it comes to E3.

Shouldn't be allowed by principle and laws should be in place to prevent this kind of thing but the gaming industry's lack of regulation means companies can get away with a lot of devious practices.

I'd argue that GTA 5 single-player needs some DLC as well because Rockstar hasn't made a single one for it. Instead, they chose to focus all their energy on the GTA online aspect with DLCs coming out almost every two months or so.

It's just how life goes, Blockbuster used to be extremely popular in the early 2000s but by 2008, they're out of business because they failed to adapt their business strategy. Evolution is inevitable and those who don't adapt always get left behind.

Physical media has been on the decline for over a decade as digital is more cost-effective and with the rising inflation, physical media will disappear completely outside of collectors such as yourself.

We're seeing all kinds of collaborative projects between companies who are in very different industries. Fortnite is the prime example - I'm surprised that Fortnite hasn't made a Skittles event.
To be fair, I've seen way worse in recent years. I totally agree that this is a bizarre collaboration and still can't make much sense of it but in today's environment, it's not as bizarre as say Cheetos Flaming Hot Ice Cream (it's actually real).

I'm being cautiously optimistic as most other movies have been underwhelming this year. This and the new Transformers movie I'm looking forward to.

I'm not going to lie - this is hilarious! An eye patch and a beret? He sure looks like some Bond Villain...They'd probably call him Professor Acorn or something like that. Holding the world hostage for acorns.

I'm downloading Mortal Kombat 11 right now. I'm able to fight matches before it finishes downloading and so far looks pretty good. You only got 2 losses? You are whooping it!

    Banished.
Re-installed this after a few months away, and started a new game on the highest difficulty settings. I didn't build enough houses for my people before winter - and then, they all just froze to death.
Maybe I should try on a slightly lower difficulty next time!

    1) Starfield was pretty good in my opinion - It almost seems like 6 games in one. Lots of Customization for ships, characters and outposts on different planets - if executed properly, it'll be game of the year easily. Release Date is September 6, 2023.
    2) Armored Core 6's gameplay video was amazing in terms of the movement, graphical detail and also some of the systems in-game with the ability to call for a supply drop to repair you mech with a kit and restock ammo. Release Date is August 25,2023
Honestly, I'm looking forward to playing both games. What games were your favorite from Summer Game Fest so far?

Hey all, i hope you are all well and doing good! 🙂 Im sorry ive not been on chatting with you all for a few months, but as i stated back in February, i had just separated from my partner of 20+ years, so was in a weird place back then and was unsure of what i would do going forward, as i had not been on my own for as long as i could remember! So yeah it was a shock to my system to say the least, and as im sure you can appreciate, i was not in a very chatty mood! 😞

Anyway what i did do was lock myself away from the world, and did a bit of soul searching and finding me again, as when you have been in a relationship for that length of time, you tend to lose your own individuality, which i did massively, as my ex was a massive control freak. So what i did is focus on getting me back to me and also learning a lot more about having a YouTube channel and video editing etc etc etc, as i started my channel in about October last year, but by the time i split with my ex in February, i still had no clue what i was doing, as i was learning everything from scratch. Anyway as i said, i took that time out to do a lot of reading and watching tutorial vids, to build up my experience, which im still doing as we speak, but im also getting back out of the flat now too and having a life again, instead of just solely focusing on my channel. So yeah life is better now and hopefully my vids have improved as well, due to all the tricks ive learned along the way lol, although my confidence on screen is still a huge obstacle to overcome, but all in good time, Rome wasn't built in a day was it! 🙂

So yeah, i just wanted to let you guys know why i disappeared for a while, and that im back and will hopefully be chatting everything gaming with you all going forward! 🙂

    Speak soon!
    Woody! 🙂

killamch89 reacted to The Blackangel in No to a genre?
Is there a genre of video games that you absolutely refuse to play? What is your reasoning for not playing? Of what is available today, I can think of only one that I would flat our say "no" to. There's genres that aren't my thing, but I don't just absolutely refuse to have anything to do with them. In recent years, my taste in games has actually expanded dramatically. I'm not the biggest fan of first person games, but I do play a couple. The only thing absolutely I refuse to play is online games. I absolutely hate them and quite often just want to puke at the mere thought of them. I'm not condemning anyone if they like them. Have at it. But I still can't stand online gaming, and I've given it many tries, from many games, on many platforms. I absolutely hated it every time I tried, and actually DID puke after a couple due to the experience.

I for one do find myself getting more exited, but still intend to keep my expectations in check and this game at arm's length given Bethesda's track record. I'm impressed by the sheer scale of this whole thing and admire it's ambition.

A couple of induvial points I wanted to bring up that stood out to me.

It looks like they're stepping away from the "unique" weapons thing that we've seen done a lot in Fallout and TES and instead just giving you a large verity of weapons that you can customise them to suit you needs in specific situation and to suit play style and skills, and to me that's a good move. The companion system looks very similar to what we saw in Fallout 4, just expanded and integrated into the ship and it's mechanics in a way that reminds me of the Lieutenant's mechanic from AC Odyssey and I'm fine with that.

I too love the customisation. It seams like you can change both the function and appearance of your ship by how to customise it. That's going to be a lot of fun to play around with. Because somebody will, if you purposefully make your ship look like a great big flying cock, just know that you're a lot like your own penis. Not big and even less clever. Looks like they've learned some valuable lessons from Fallout 4 when it comes to the outpost building mechanics and that's good because that feature was horrid in Fallout 4, especially for console players. So again, nice work.

    But of course, the biggest concern with any Bethesda game, will it... you know... work? They didn't even address this in this showcase, they are not even claiming this game will work OK. Considering that while showcasing Fallout 76 Tod Howard infamously said to the world "It just works" makes me wonder. The systems in place look mostly like the kinds of things Bethesda has used a lot in the past with a few things thrown in like the space combat, but thankfully that and the other new things don't look overly complicated. Having said that, they do seam to be using these systems on a scale way beyond what even Bethesda have done before. So given thier track record, not to mention the fact Bethesda's Creation Engine is looking very much like Mr House;

I'm choosing to remain less than optimistic. In my opinion for a AAA, next gen game in 2023 this is not exactly the best looking game in the world either, especially considering what we've been seeing with Unreal Engine 5 recently. But like I said, this is Bethesda, so perhaps pegging back the graphics a bit would be for the best. One thing I'm really not sure about is how this procedural generation thing will work with the hand designed environments with another system to add locations like enemy outposts and... to be honest, that just sounds like something to go wrong.

If this does work as advertised, this could be game of the decade potential, so come on Bethesda and please don't fuck this up.

Momentarily, it can help to take your mind off things but I don't think it really helps long-term if you don't try to address the root of the problem.

Some of the Retcons in RE remakes definitely make no sense at all when going off the established lore. This reminds me of the Elder Scrolls franchise and all the retconning in the Elder Scrolls Online of various events in the main storyline confusing most of us Elder Scrolls fans.
