xP I would play it 24/7 when I sold my graphics card and waited for over a month to get my new one... I mean, it was the only actual game I could play without getting five fps. I love it for the sole fact that it is fast paced, teamwork-based has a great community and it is overall a fascinating experience.

Far Cry does a very good job with atmospheric sounds. For instance, in Far Cry primal, the sounds of the various animals and insects such as crickets in the jungle really gave you a feeling of being out in the wild.

Yeah, the starting of Mass Effect one nearly put me to sleep but it was a great series. It's a pity that EA got their grubby little paws on it because they have managed to kill what was a once amazing experience.

I feel that The Forest has done a great job at scaring you by just using sounds. A quick description of the game: Your plane crashed on an island that seems to be filled with cannibalistic mutants. There are the cannibals (Common) and the creepy mutants (Rare). In this game, the purpose is to find your son, Timmy, who was abducted by one of the cannibals minutes after the plane crashed. It is one of the best survival horror games I have ever played, and the sounds during the morning, night and during cave expeditions are fantastic.

I agree with Alyxx. All Mass Effect were fantastic but the ending of the MEA3. Though, I must say that I didn't really like the start of the first one as well... I wouldn't recommend it over games such as Witcher 3 or Skyrim but it is definitely worth a shot.

Having played all of them I think they are some of the best space opera action-adventure games ever made. Really good story although the ending of Mass Effect 3 is pretty weak. But definitely worth playing through.

Puzzle games are a last resort - I would rather play go outside and actually play fetch with my dogs and I hardly ever do that.

EA is miles ahead of everyone though. They are one of the few companies trying to fight against Belgium's decision regarding loot boxes is disgusting - I really hope they tank extremely hard.

I can agree up to a point. I find it very enjoyable with friends... I think the sole purpose one should buy it is to play it with their friends, otherwise, it might get both frustrating and boring.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Kingdom Come: Deliverance are pretty good RPGs to play. I still haven't played them but I'm planning to do so.

I've heard Monster Hunter World and Octopath Traveler are both great. Both will be on the Top 10 Games of 2018 list anyway.

Skyrim jumps to mind, though Fallout 3, New Vegas, Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite all have impressive architecture. Skyrim’s towns are very believable and some are beautiful (Whiterun, for example). Fallout 3’s Megaton is cool. And Rapture and Columbia are iconic video game cities.

I usually don't mind violence in video games, even though MK and GTA are a bit to much for me. I don't like causing violence but seeing it in games won't make me turn away. However, I remember with THAT scene from Heavy Rain. You all know which one I mean 😄

I sadly do not own an XBOX One, but I enjoyed it on PS4 PRO without any noticeable issues.

Oof, I don't have a favourite game. There are three games that I loved the past months, and these are; Detroit: Become Human, God Of War 2018 & Red Dead Redemption II. I loved all the games for the same reasons really, stunning graphics, fantastic story, exciting gameplay mechanics and mesmerising music.

iaminsensible got a reaction from killamch89 in How you decide to buy a new video game?
I usually read reviews from well-known and reliable sources such as online magazines or youtube channels. Then I check the price, and if I am capable of purchasing it, I do some research on what it is about (If it is Singleplayer; The story. Multiplayer; The purpose). If it is singleplayer, then I also check for other factors such as Music, Graphics, Voice Actors, Plot. If it's online, I check if I can play it with my friends and if it has acceptable visuals (I don't play pixelated games. I mean, I have played Undertale, and I liked it, but I find them very tiring).

I see your point, and I cannot agree more, I was commenting on the Battlefield "feminism" thing because many people have been saying that they won't be purchasing Battlefield V just for that.

A fair argument but the problem we have with EA is that they are no longer interested in just making a quality game. They are instead, always trying to find new ways of milking their customer base while not improving on the quality of their titles and are charging premium prices to appease their investors. They aren't interested in creating memorable experiences that offers a lot of replay value, it is just a cash grind and this has been EA for almost a decade or even further going back.

Honestly, I wouldn't care less about historical accuracy. I understand the frustration up to a point, but it is a joke... Now, they may have put female characters in the trailer and in-game due to this feminism thing going on lately, but I take it as a customisation feature, aka a plus. I mean, honestly, historical accuracy is not 100% what made Battlefield famous. I mean, in Battlefield 4, has Shanghai been attacked by these specific types of tanks or airforce? I think that people are overreacting with this whole situation.
Of course, I am talking just about the trailer thing. What EA did afterwards (Telling its audience "Don't like it? Don't buy it!") was, IMO, a very very bad move. I mean, their stocks decreased by a considerable percentage. I agree that that was a dull move but still, not a reason to not play a game if you like it. Honestly, as a gamer & Battlefield fan, I wouldn't care less what EA says or does, as long as the game has quality standards.

A Night To Remember is quite a memorable one. I’ve got a soft spot for that one.
