  1. I could play in the dark as my keyboard and mouse both light up, but like many of you it hurts my eyes lol. So I at least have some light in the room. I don't like watching TV in the dark either for the same reason.

  2. I think this could be answered for each game individually better than a general statement.

For instance I find it really enjoyable and relaxing to level up through the same stuff over and over in World of Warcraft. However, I don't like doing 100 repetitive copy/paste useless side quests in my single player RPGs.

Wait, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is still on TV? Used to be one of my favorites as a teen but I haven't watched it in eons.

I'm sure it's on in reruns somewhere. It ended after 7 seasons quite a while ago.

  4. I'm not against them at all if they serve the game well. In a Bethesda Game Studios game, the open world is one of the main selling points of the game. In a more focused RPG like the Dragon Age series was (and hopefully will be next time), I think it only detracts from the game. It all depends on if the open world is adding busy work, or if it's a genuine world I suppose.

I played Wow from Burning Crusade to Lich King and then stopped. Since then I haven't returned. I grew out of WoW as soon as Arthas has died, I can say that WoW has died with him for me. I kept playing the Lich King version on private servers from time to time, but that's pretty much it.

Are you going to try WoW Classic at all?

  6. I can't count the number of times this has happened to me. Usually just when I feel like I have the energy for an all-nighter. Turns out I don't LOL

I've been logged out of the game when I've woken up after falling asleep playing WoW several times. Once when I was playing the Sims, my Sim had aged up into an elder from a young adult before I woke up. I was like "...omg how long have I been sleeping"

That's an excellent point. What really threw me for a loop is the same Pokemon in different regions can have a totally different element as well as a completely different passive ability and evolution.

Yeah I can see how it can get confusing if you don't religiously keep up with it, for sure.
