Hopefully, the employees will find a job where they will get treated better once the GameStop stores start inevitably closing.

I've been playing card games for well over a decade and tried a few dozen of them, and I could have told you right when the details about Artifact were released that the game would flop. Dota fanboys called me crazy and a lot of derogatory terms. Funny how they are all quiet now, though.

Simple. Easy to understand. Easy to get into. Fun. High skill ceiling. No RNG. No car has an advantage. No microtransactions to give you an advantage.

The buck stops with the parenting. I grew up playing GTA and RE and I was never in any way influenced by the content of such games because my parents taught me better. A game will only be just that - a piece of software for entertainment. It cannot be substituted for good parenting.
That's the thing. A lot of parents today will just give the kid video games or whatever to shut it up and then later down the road blame the said video games because their child didn't end up as they wanted.

There are studies for both pros and cons when it comes to gaming. In moderation, it's good and can be beneficial. If you overdo it, just like anything else, it can be bad for you.

Starting in a few hours. Will you be watching it? Maybe even attending? Is there anything you're looking forward to on it?
It will be streamed on Twitch and you can find the schedule on their website.

I second the No Man's Sky. The game was drastically improved after the debacle it had when it came out.

Looking at your profile picture and myself being a fan of it, I don't think Quake III Arena would be as popular now as it was back then. It would have a niche audience, that's for sure, but wouldn't be popular as much, which Quake Champions pretty much confirms.

A lot of great space games are right now on sale on Humble Bundle store. Games like Elite Dangerous, Rebel Galaxy, Starpoint Gemini and Kerbal Space Program can be found for at least 50% off.

Lately, I've been having an Elder Scrolls itch again. I was wondering if anybody played Elder Scrolls Online? Is it grindy? Could you still enjoy the game even if you can't play it all that much during a week? I'm asking mainly because it's an MMO. I saw a lot of people saying the game was drastically improved since the launch, so I'm interested in your opinions as well.
Edit: And it just so happens that Steam is having a sale on it so it's a perfect time to get it now. That's also one of the reasons why I'm asking.

It's too early to say but seems interesting nonetheless. They did use a couple of buzzwords like "playable offline", "no ads" and "respect user privacy" so it will interesting to see how it develops over time.

For me, the touchpad does not exist. I never could get used to it and always have a mouse ready in my laptop bag with me.

This is one of the games I was most excited when I saw it on last year's E3. Can't wait to finally play it as it seems really fun!

Do you know if he's a skilled mage, f.ex. compared to above mentioned Aranea?
His rank seems to be Apprentice according to Fandom wikia , if that means anything. I don't really remember anymore how strong he was, but he was helpful to have in combat.

I got Starpoint Gemini Warlords the other day when it was on sale. It was recommended to me a while back. Played it a bit and I have to say I enjoy it. I'll have to play more this weekend.

You're nice, thanks for asking 🙂 I've only had 4 followers so far, Faendal, Sven (I played it to level 15 earlier, then started over. Had Sven until I got Lydia then), Lydia and Vilkas (from the companions). Of these I like Vilkas the most. Probably because he gives me the best sense of knowing what he's doing. I've just unlocked daedric smithing, so I'm running around in a set of legendary Daedric Armor (and matching greatsword), him in legendary ebony armor, so we're pretty badass. At least considering I'm only level 27 so far. I've also considered taking J'zargo up on his offer and trying him out. It could be useful to have a mage follower. I'm just worried he'd be too low level compared to myself and Vilkas, now that I've played with Vilkas for a good while? But of course I could always switch back if it didn't work out. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that I can marry Vilkas, I would like him as a partner that way too 😄
I found J'Zargo pretty fun since I was playing a Khajiit mage and it was very fitting. His comments can be amusing. 🙂

Seems like a good idea, but I think Stadia is ahead of its time for now. There's a lot of places where the Internet connection is either not fast enough or stable enough. The Internet infrastructure has to be improved drastically in a lot of the countries before Stadia actually becomes a viable option to go with.

Why play something on Linux when you can do it on Windows anyway? You're dual booting, after all.

As you might figure out from my username, I love space games. So I was wondering did you guys play any space games? Which ones did you enjoy the most?
