  1. If you have an Xbox or you regularly use an Xbox, you will be aware of the live stream feature where you can go live to your Discord server directly from your Xbox. I have as of yet, no tried this way of live streaming from the Xbox yet even though I have a Discord server but it is something I do plan on trying when I have the time to. Have you live streamed through Xbox to your Discord server yet? How did you find it?
  2. Watching others play: Does the player type affect the user behavior on twitch.tv? You not only play video games but also watch others playing on twitch.tv? My study is looking for you as a participant! My survey: https://limesurvey.fiw.fhws.de/index.php/441725 Join now and with a little luck win one of two €25 / $30 Amazon vouchers. It only takes about ten to 15 minutes to fill out the form. My name is Jürgen, I am studying Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt in Germany and am currently writing my master thesis. In this context I would like to investigate the viewers' user behavior on twitch. As streamer: For example, you could provide the link to this survey in the chat, talk about it during your broadcast or fill it out the form yourself live and motivate your viewers to do the same. In return for your support I can offer you a presentation of the results of this research and you will get the chance to better understand your audience and maybe even increase it in the future. Everyone else: Just take part in the survey. The questionnaire is divided into three parts with 69 questions in total and takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The three parts are: Information about your Twitch usage behavior, your player trait profile and some demograpfic Information which are optional. Please bear in mind that I cannot explain the exact research question and hypotheses in advance. This would possibly lead to the results being distorted. If there are any questions, I am of course willing to answer them. I am happy about every participation.
  3. Hi guys, episode 6 is now available! We actually made our Monday release schedule this week, and now that video is implemented we're hoping to be able to stick to it as much as possible! (We're planning to implement webcam footage soon.) This week Jacob and I discuss the latest Apex Legends news, a new bill aiming to ban microtransactions and lootboxes, the God of War documentary, and more! As always, if you have any questions or topics you'd like us to discuss, please do comment here or below the video!
  4. So, there's this new platform that just released in NA. It's sponsored by the owners of Alibaba, and is supposedly really popular in Asia. Anyway, it's called Nonolive. https://nonolive.com/ Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nono.android&hl=en_US iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nonolive-live-streaming/id1113374949?mt=8 Right now, they are paying NA streamers $20 (retrievable once a day) for every 3 hours you stream while you play. Or even vlog. I've only done it once and it seems legit so far, and it pays through Payoneer, which I've never used. But, they have good reviews on Trusted Pilot. Looks like Asian Paypal. Anyway, there's a dev on the Discord that answers questions about it: https://discord.gg/g52PEU He said that if you get a lot of views, you can get a contract and the company will pay you a monthly salary depending on how popular you are. Sounds cool so far, so we'll see. I love Twitch but I rarely get many views and there's not a lot of opportunity for extra pocket cash. I hope this works out cuz I play three hours a day anyway, might as well make an extra $600/month doing so.
