How long should PS4 controller expected to last before it dies off?

Honestly, why is this conversation still going? The very simple question asked in the original post has long since been answered and is being kept going by loop of discussion that has nothing to do with the subject. And now we're even looping right back round to people answering he original question again, like @Boblee;
