Boss fights that are more like puzzles?

What are some games that feature boss fights that are more like puzzles than fights? I would say the boss fight at the end of A Plague Tale: Innocence is more like a kind of adaptive, moving maze than a “fight.”

Some people are spinning VGR content to their own gaming forum. I saw this thread being copied word for word on another which was posted on Wednesday after it was posted here on Tuesday.

On topic, I would say "The End" Sniper Duel in Metal Gear Solid 3 to be one boss fight that's like a puzzle. You can't win with just brute force.

I wonder why someone would derive joy in stealing content here, she sharing in another community, that's plagiarism.

Back to topic discussion,

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal gear solid, F.F VIII, boss fight offers puzzle like show, very hard for me to go past them.

Wow. Nothing came up when I searched the phrasing on Google. But that's messed up.

I've looked into this forum. This plagiarism has clearly been going for quite some time. here are some of the examples I've found, including one from a moderator at this forum that copied ME two years ago.

For a start, this very thread on VGR has been staight up copied on iGamingNews

https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/boss-fights-that-are-more-like-puzzles.64149/

On VGR

Somebody even copied the member of  "VGR Member of the Month" thread without removing the VGR reference.

On iGamingnews

And here's the thread going way back that I wrote, so I know the VGR thread is the original. Not how only the text was copied, not the hyperlinks nor the videos, so this was copied and pasted to iGamingNews, not the other way round, otherwise the post on iGamingnews wouldn't look like this. This from a moderator as well, as aforementioned.

On VGR

These are but a few examples of hundreds, maybe thousands posts come from serval different members and it's clear posts have been getting copied from us for quite some time. Maybe this is just how this "forum" operates, but copying our threads to make thier forum look more active than it really is. I even found one thread that was a copy of the thread title, but then the topic itself was just a link to the thread copied on VGR.

So yeah, this is pathetic.

To me, in video games tough enemies are puzzles.

You solve the puzzle by learning the movements and finding the exploit. Not all puzzles use the same mechanics, but all encounters are problems to be solved. The catch is, once you solve the puzzle, it shouldn't be brutal to apply the solution. This is why spongy/tanky bosses kind of suck: you already know how to kill them and what you're doing, the experience is just being drawn out.

When I played Mortar Kombat first time on my mobile phone, the last fight with Zhao Kahn, it's just like that, it is puzzle-like, I suffered many defeats before defeating him finally.

How was that a puzzle ?
