Smokers have been treated as lepers for decades. What the hell is Shisa? Also the scary  'mainstream media' regularly has stories about the opioid crisis. That's a you problem if you can't find reliable news.

You can either call it Shisha or a Hookah.

Drug abuse is definitely rampant in modern society and it's an epidemic which mainstream media turns a blind eye to.

Seriously, and it's as if the more it's being tried to fight, the more it gets out of hands. It's like there's a force behind in support of it. Maybe the one's behind the drugs business.

I remembered the time when the price of egg was so low here in my neighborhood, when retail stores begs people to collect an egg for just $0.045, but now, the price have gone four times higher for a single egg

Almost any essential food item has gone up in prices.

Seriously!!! The inflation is damn real. Some years ago $1 to my currency was only #360 Naira. But now, $1 is #700 Naira or more.

We are really struggling here with our shitty economy.

Spending hours arguing with people on the Internet. That's definitely not as common back then, especially with how new the Internet was.

People chasing fame through social media was definitely not a thing yet, especially when there's no such thing as YouTube. Sure, you had reality shows like Jackass, but getting fame wasn't nearly as easy as creating a user account online. You had to get lucky and make the proper connections. Not everyone could just get instant fame on TV.

Yes, and it's disturbing to see how food items have tripled in their prices within short period of time. Their is no food scarcity, we are just suffering from high cost of food.

Inflation has affected everything - let's put it this way. The world is very interconnected now so if something is affecting one major country, the effects will be felt in various other countries around the world.

Yes, because humans are one, and again countries do export their goods/items to other countries for monetary value, and it will be sold high as well. So, it will affect the other countries who imported those items.

Seriously, a lot of people never cared much about engagement online but over the last couple of years, everyone went haywire. It's as if most arguments are now done online than offline. I can't even remember the last time I saw people arguing in a heated way in person.

For instance, the war in Ukraine is having an noticeable impact on inflation around the world in many sectors as a lot of raw materials like precious metals and wheat among others come from Ukraine while a lot of gas products tend to be exported from Russia. Another fact is that the Evergrande group in China owns a lot of real estate in lots of countries so their terrible financial situation is send shockwaves through the housing market in various other countries. On top of that, a lot of people/companies that invested in to the Evergrande group won't ever see those returns either.

It's a massive loss to them. That's why you'll always see people who will always 'Say No To War', even if their are is alot of injustice going on, because they want to save their investments. War causes lots of human and property damages.

People did not get offended by everything is a huge one that comes to mind. Also no one was able to call out crappy people and their behavior 20 years ago on the Internet. Also yeah, people enjoyed physically meeting over Zoom, Skype, etc. Also another thing that comes to mind is Taco Bell actually had like an actual $1 menu or under a $1, same with McDonald's.
