Kane99
There has already been some clone Squid Games released on game marketplaces, but I don't think there's been an official "Squid Game" Game just yet. And now it looks like Netflix themselves are going to take the challenge on and will make a game based on the hit show. Which makes more sense since they own the rights to the series. Netflix has been trying to get more interest on their video game tier of Netflix. They recently added GTA Trilogy to their service and even offered it for free. How well do you think a video game based on Squid Game would do? https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/netflix-developing-squid-game-video-094023450.html
Ravenfreak
Seeing how there were a ton of Squid Game mini games made on Roblox that were super popular, I can see a fully fledged video game working. The only problem is, if it's a Netflix exclusive game then it's not going to do well and probably will end up becoming lost media at some point. I know I wouldn't want to get a subscription to their gaming service just for this one game, I already don't like game streaming services since they run like garbage on my internet. Kyng
Well, there's that unofficial "Crab Game", but until this comes out, I guess this is the closest we'll get 😛 . One thing I'm curious about is: how will the alliances and betrayal, which are so much a part of the Netflix show, translate into this game? If it's a massively multi-player game, then they'll translate pretty naturally - but if it's a single-player game, then I'm not sure what they'll do. Debashis
A video game based on Squid Game could potentially be a huge success, given the show's popularity and the increasing interest in gaming. Netflix's ownership of the rights and their focus on expanding their gaming offerings further enhance the game's potential.
