StaceyPowers 297 Posted October 24, 2018 Humor in a lot of video games falls flat for me, and some video games have almost no sense of humor at all. In fact, for me, nothing has really equaled the odd sense of humor featured in the Zork games (old text-based PC games with a few graphical games that followed, for those who weren't around back in the dark ages). What games do you think have the best sense of humor?
MegaphoneStallone 30 Posted October 24, 2018 I've said it before, I'll say it again and @Alyxx will agree. The Curse of Monkey Island. 2 Alyxx and StaceyPowers reacted to this
DylanC 443 Posted October 25, 2018 Easily Deadly Premonition. It essentially embraces its B-movie flavour/tone and makes it its own. The writing is incredible. Suffice to say, it’s also one of my favourite games ever.
Demon_skeith 25 Posted October 25, 2018 I would say the deadpool video games, since you know its deadpool.
DylanC 443 Posted October 25, 2018 I'd just like to add, that - in general - games that try to be funny mostly fall flat. It's the games that are inadvertently funny that are super memorable. 1 StaceyPowers reacted to this
Martin Berisford 11 Posted October 25, 2018 The Portal series really tickled me to be fair, I never thought I'd actually like the game and actually stayed away from it but when I did, I just loved it. Probably because Stephen Merchant was in Portal 2 and I'm a big fan but it just struck a chord really. GTA games always crack me up too! 1 StaceyPowers reacted to this

Yeah I love the humor in Curse. Trumps the previous games in my opinion. Other games I love the humor in: Borderlands 2 Battleborn Saints Row 3 Saints Row 4 Rad Rodgers

Escape From Monkey Island had it's moments - but it definitely is a step back. "Look at the size of her...Ponytail." The first two, were certainly nowhere close to as well done as Curse though. I mean, Curse has Murray - and Murray is golden. 1 Alyxx reacted to this

And yeah while I enjoy all of the games, Curse will always be my favourite in terms of writing. 1 MegaphoneStallone reacted to this
