What gets you out of bed

The fact that I need to pay my bills and debt won't pay itself. Although there isn't the sole reason for me getting out of bed, the other half rests within spending time with loved ones, friends, and socialising with others. It's a bit of both.

Agreed but the main one is to sustain my way of living. If I stay in bed I'll never be able to continually progress in life and there's time for rest and other times for productivity. We must make great use of that time.

I've never been a morning person and love to sleep in. Even in high school, I was late to school every day and they finally put me in In School Suspension where I could no longer go to my regular classes. I had to sit with trouble makers in detention all day. Then I was late every day there too, and they would give me an extra day every time I was late. I spent my entire high school in detention till my mom finally withdrew me from public school to do homeschooling. And I was on the Dean's list in college. How about that. But since I hate waking up in the mornings, I've mostly worked night shift jobs. But I found that if I am on vacation somewhere, or even camping out, I would wake up at the break of dawn. As soon as that sun rises I hop out of bed to enjoy the day. So for me, what gets me out of bed is beautiful nature.

I'm nocturnal. The best job I ever had was working the graveyard shift at a gas station. When i was doing the interview I specifically asked for a 3rd shift. The manager was both surprised and thrilled, because no one wanted to work it. It was perfect for me. Little to no stress, the perfect time of day, and easy as hell. Not to mention that I was allowed all the soda I wanted from the fountain drinks. If I got hungry, I could just grab pretty much anything I wanted to eat, as long as I wrote it down, and the manager would just deduct it from my check. The pay was weekly, and me working 3rd shift, I made over $300 a week, since that's the most dangerous shift to work as that's when robberies tend to take place. But I brought a 9mm with me every night, and a book or Game Boy.

It was the best job ever.

These days though, I tend to wake up with or before the sun. Usually around 5:00 or so. I go to bed whenever I get tired, and that can be anywhere from 7:00 to 11:00. It varies wildly. If there's a Red Wings game on though, I make sure to stay up to watch my boys kick some ass.
