Call of Duty Discussion

Yeah, it's agreed that Call of Duty Vanguard isn't totally useless, but it's a release that saw the game's active players drop 50 million.

Is that a plus or a minus for Call of Duty Vanguard?

That happens to many big names in the game industry and even the entertainment industry isnt left out.

Netflix announced that they are losing subscribers which has caused them to loss a lot of revenue as well even when we had series like stranger things on Netflix but that didn't stop the amount of subscribers from going down.

Would you state that it was because of a stranger things not been so good or another Netflix series that made them lose that much subscribers?

Netflix issue of losing their subscribers is completely different from what's making Call of Duty game franchise losing their number of active gamers.

You can read on this 6 reasons to understand why Netflix keeps losing its subscribers with pulling out their services in Russia since the break Russian-Ukraine war.

The point is every big industry has their own down times and maybe this is one for call of duty and sane for Netflix.

But that hasn't stopped majority of other COD players or Netflix users to stop using or playing the video game.

They still make good sells with every new release of cod and vanguard was even the best selling new video game of 2021 as well, though sells dropped as the year went by and other games were released.

The whole reason the newest COD sold less and has lost users is probably because of fatigue. I have no interest in playing any of the new CODs these days. I've played most of the games, getting the new ones every year, but I've since stopped because it's not fun anymore, at least for me. Gaming fatigue is a real thing, where you lose interest in a game or series because you have played too much of it.

I think with a few years break, I may be interested in jumping back in.

Yeah, that's true. What it actually did was make a deep cut off from their profit making on their games and services.

If they are invested very well in bringing it up where it's supposed to be, I'm very sure that it's something that's capable of for them to do.

That's a personal issue, I still know a few of my buddies that are addicted to COD and plays it every single time.

Vanguard didn't do well afterwards as much as it was supposed to and the developers need to slow down on how fast a new game is released though.

Anybody planning on getting the new COD MW2?

I probably will... eventually. I no longer feel the need to get into the latest season immediately, especially when either in this game or at some other stage there's going to be a loss of progression from the previous games. Even when I was unemployed I didn't have the time to chase the Battle Pass. No, I'm focussing on my job and hoping that when the campaign comes down in price that'll be worth a go. It's doubtful. As I said in another thread it's just war crime pornography at this point.

As @Kane99 says, the fatigue is real. Let it go the way of Guitar Hero for a few years.

I'm not decided on it yet but give or take, I might end up getting it in the end.

The stretch they have on the game being a yearly release stopped favoring it for a while. With their new release plans after the next one, we would see much changes ; I'm very sure of that.

Anybody playing Call of duty WW2 recently?

I was itching to play some COD this week and found out that Blackops4 is basically empty, it took me full 10 min just to get on a match on domination and full 5 for team deathmatch, idk if it was just the servers that day or what and lets not talk about black out.

WW2 on the other hand is very active but only on the main modes like team death match, domination, kill confirmed and war

I have preordered it a few weeks ago and played the BETA. Still lots to do, but so far so good. Really like what they've got so far and the slide cancel / dolphin dive is hilarious.

Idk I played the beta and I liked it but Im not sure if its worth 70 dlls

Was the beta good? I'm also on the fence about ordering MW2 with what happened to Battlefield 2042.

It was good, in my opinion the third person view was kinda dissapointing, specially since people tend to camp more in that mode

Nope, I have no intentions of buying the new COD MW2. I may pick it up later on, maybe, but I doubt I will play it much. COD for me hasn't interested me in quite a while, and I don't see myself jumping back into it anytime soon unfortunately.
