Free PlayStation Plus July 2020: Our Predictions

This month’s free games through PlayStation Plus are much more exciting than the disastrous May free games. We get to enjoy Call of Duty: WWII this month along with Star Wars Battlefront II. But what will the free PlayStation Plus July 2020 games be? Let’s go over a few predictions while we wait for the official announcement.

1. Deadpool

Marvel’s Iron Man VR is coming out on July 3rd, so maybe we will get to play another Marvel game for free next month through PS Plus. Our pick is Deadpool, which initially released on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC in 2013. Two years later it came out on PS4 and Xbox One. The game was well received for its gameplay and its sense of humor.

If Sony does not select Deadpool, however, there are a lot of other Marvel PS4 games which would also make great choices for the PS Plus free games next month.

2. OlliOlli

Skater XL will come out on July 7th on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Could another skating game be free next month? Our pick is the original OlliOlli which released in 2014 on PS Vita, and later was ported to PS4. This side-scroller received glowing reviews. Its sequel has been free through PS Plus before, but the original never has been. So we say it’s about time it happened.

3. Gran Turismo Sport

A couple of racing games are slated for release in July: NASCAR Heat 5 and F1 2020. So, will we get to play a racing game for free next month? Our pick is Gran Turismo sport, which came out in 2017. As the 13th Gran Turismo game, it received praise for how the cars handled as well as beautiful visuals.

4. Infamous: First Light

Finally, Ghost of Tsushima is the big release we are all anticipating for July. The PS4 exclusive will come out on July 17th. Perhaps we can play another game from developer Sucker Punch Productions for free next month? One option would be Infamous: First Light. While it has been free through PS Plus before, it hasn’t happened since 2015.
