Are you enjoying the Xbox Games with Gold free games for July? With August coming up fast, it is time to talk about our predictions for free Xbox Games with Gold August 2019 games.
1. Strike Suit Zero
With FromSoftware’s third person mech shooter Metal Wolf Chaos XD releasing on August 6th on PC, Xbox One and PS4, maybe we will get to play another mech game for free next month. One option would be Strike Suit Zero, a space flight combat game with mech elements. The Director’s Cut of that game was free back in 2014, so there is precedent.
2. Ironcast
Another mech game which could be free next month would be Ironcast. This turn-based strategy game features roguelike elements, and released on all major platforms starting in 2015 and finishing in 2017. The game received favorable reviews and praise for its innovative gameplay. Microsoft has yet to make it free through Xbox Games with Gold, so now might be the time to do it.
3. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Also coming out in August is The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game, which will release on August 8th on all major platforms. This got us thinking that another LOTR-themed game could be free during next month.
One idea would be Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. This innovative open world game came out in 2014 and was available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows, Linux and OSX. Critics were impressed by the design of the environments as well as the combat featured in the game.
4. Euro Fishing
Slated for release next month is Train Sim World 2020. This game will come out on August 15th on all major platforms. Featuring another sim game by developer Dovetail Games might be a great move for the August Xbox Games with Gold free games. One idea would be 2014’s Euro Fishing. Angling Times called this sim title “the most realistic fishing game ever.” This would surely make it an exciting addition to the list of free games in August through Xbox Games with Gold.
