Full Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal Trailer Released

Following the first cryptic announcement earlier this week, a full reveal trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard has been released, confirming several details about the game and showing off plenty more. Now available to pre-order, the game is due to release on the 5th of November.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Fully Revealed

Set in the battlefields of the Second World War, Call of Duty: Vanguard is the next major Call of Duty title, coming to both last-gen and next-gen consoles, as well as PC, and being developed by Sledgehammer Games. Indeed, Activision is touting the game as; “the most connected Call of Duty experience across the franchise”. According to the publisher, players will be taking on the role of soldiers in Task Force One, a fictional early special forces unit with members from many different nations.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s story campaign will follow Task Force One through four major theatres in WWII; North Africa, the Eastern Front, the Western Front, and the Pacific. Players wil take on the roles of four different playable characters through this story; Private Lucas Riggs of the 20th Battalion, Australian 9th Infantry, British Eighth Army; Sergeant Arthur Kingsley of the 9th Parachute Battalion, British Army; Lieutenant Wade Jackson of Scouting Squadron Six, United States Navy; Lieutenant Polina Petrova of the 138th Rifle Division, Red Army.

Call of Duty Vanguard Reveal Trailer Released 2

According to Activision, each of these four characters will rise; “from the trenches to become one of the original Operatives; the prototype for the modern special forces soldier”. When it comes to Multiplayer, Vanguard will be launching with a full 20 maps. Finally, the game will also be launching with the first-ever franchise crossover Zombies mode. Vanguard’s Zombies mode will feature a new Zombies mode developed by Treyarch which ties in directly to Black Ops Cold War’s Dark Aether storyline.

Finally, a new map based on Vanguard will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone later this year, with full integration of the new game’s content. Warzone will continue to receive new content alongside Vanguard, as it has done alongside the last two Call of Duty games. In fact, this launch will also coincide with the launch of a new anti-cheat system for Warzone too.
