Game Director Jeff Kaplan Wants To Bring Link To Overwatch

When it comes to fan-made content in Overwatch, the community for the game never disappoints. If we take a look, adding Overwatch PvE was originally requested by the Overwatch community in the first place which later on the developers are Blizzard Entertainment made it real. And now, we officially have Overwatch 2 with an all-new PvE story campaign coming with it. Now, let’s talk about Link in Overwatch and what Jeff thinks about adding it to the Overwatch’s hero line up.

Link in Overwatch – Is it Possible?

If you don’t know who Link is, he’s a really popular character from Legend of Zelda series. And later on, it was added to the famous Super Smash Bros. that everyone likes. In an interview with Game Informer, Game Director Jeff Kaplan talked about how he would love to have Link in the hero rosters of Overwatch. He said:

Q. If you were to pick one hero that would be in Smash Brothers Ultimate, who would it be?

Jeff: Tracer.

Q. Conversely, which Smash Brothers Ultimate character you want in Overwatch?

Jeff: Nothing will make me happier than putting Link into our game. 

Well, we actually have a fan-made content on Link being added into the Overwatch lineup. This twitter user “Etienne POV” has made a full-fledged intro and outro of Link showing off his skills in the universe of Overwatch. Take a look:

Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Overwatch 2 doesn’t have an exact release date at this moment but is expected to hit the consoles and PC in 2020.
