Gamescom 2020 is here — and not even COVID-19 can stop it! This year’s video game extravaganza will be entirely virtual but still filled with guests, events, world premieres and everything you love about Gamescom.

Despite a virtual shift, streaming will still be as easy as ever, too. Here’s what you should know:

About the Event

Gamescom is the yearly gaming event that has been going on for over a decade now. With such a widespread community across the world, Gamescom 2020 promises to be bigger than ever.

Hosts break the show up into different segments across a span of days. This year, the events start today, August 27 and run through Sunday, August 30. Each day brings new developments — whether they’re game announcements, awards or interviews.

The segments include several different dynamics. First, Opening Night Live commences today with presenter Geoff Keighley leading the charge. You’ll find out more about the events and the lineup as well as new announcements and awards.

Similarly, Studio gives you the best, juiciest world premiere news including demos, gameplays, interviews, reveals and so much more.

Then, you can catch the Daily Show as host Michael Swain wraps up the main takeaways and highlights of each day. He’ll discuss games, news and more with various guests.

At the end of Gamescom 2020, you can watch Best of Show that wraps up everything you need to know. Tune into the Awards ceremony with a new event for cosplay.

All in all, Gamescom is one of the most important gaming events of the year. You won’t want to miss it!
