Alongside today’s release of the Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC, Gearbox has announced a new set of Borderlands 3 Twitch Prime loot drops, with the first available from today. While the game has long had its ECHOcast Twitch extension, it has never had Twitch Prime drops in this way, featuring both new cosmetics and golden keys.
The New Borderlands 3 Twitch Prime Loot Drops
“By now, you’ve experienced plenty of Borderlands 3 on Twitch,” writes Gearbox; “whether it’s The Borderlands Show or members of the Borderlands Stream Team […], casters using the many features of the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch Extension, and perhaps some livestreaming of your own Vault Hunter’s escapades. Now you can show off your streaming savvy with a series of Borderlands 3 content drops coming to Twitch, available for free with your Twitch Prime membership.”
The first of four plannes Borderlands 3 Twitch Prime loot drops is available right now. It features the Caster Blaster weapon trinket and three Golden Keys; codes needed to open the Golden Chest on Sanctuary III. These items can be claimed here for any of the game’s platforms. Note that you can only redeem the items for one version of the game, however, so if you have multiple copies of Borderlands 3 you’ll also need multiple Twitch Prime accounts.
At present, the remaining three loot drops and their release dates are unknown; they are simply listed as “Coming Soon”. However, Gearbox notes that fans should; “stick around and redeem everything we’re rolling out over the coming months”. Additionally, these loot drops will only be available until the 14th of May in 2020; suggesting that the remaining 3 drops will arrive before then. Of course, Gearbox is also currently running the Gift of Mayhem holiday event at the moment. As such, players can claim even more loot right now through that event as well.
