A new character is joining Gears of War franchise and apparently, he is bringing a new gun along with him. Gears of War official Twitter account teased this information yesterday and got us more excited by the upcoming Gears of War sequel.
Gears 5 trailer has already revealed to us its lead character Kait Diaz who will continue her journey in order to find her roots. However, it also showed us a new character few of us cared enough to notice among the already familiar faces of the franchise. He seemed rather irrelevant especially when the story will now focus on Kait and what is going on with her.
It turns out that this new character was more important than we thought after all. He is so relevant that the official Twitter account of Gears of War tweeted a few information regarding this new addition to the existed characters. Moreover, he appears to be holding a brand new gun, which was very noticeable, at least to me, unlike the character holding it.
Fahz Chutani is the name of this new male character coming in Gears 5. He is the guy with the cool sunglasses who walks up to Fenix proposing that they “get these people out of here.”
Yesterday, Gears of War official Twitter account posted a fresh screenshot featuring three of the Gears 5 characters, including Fahz Chutani. The gun he is holding is mentioned in the description. They referred to it as a brand new Lancer variant.

However, we do not have any more information revolving around this new character or the Lancer variant gun. I guess we will have to wait until Gears 5 releases in 2019 to try out the new gun and learn the story behind Fahz Chutani and his connection to the Gears of War group.
