Get Grand Theft Auto 5 For $20 In the US PSN Sale Until July 31

In a recent sale across the US’ PlayStation Store, Grand Theft Auto 5 has plummeted in price to only $20 USD. Of course, most – if not every – gamer has heard of the game, but some may have not actually picked it up yet due to its consistent and prolonged high retail price. The success of the game has apparently warranted a 5 year-long retail price that matches that of games that haven’t even released yet.

Earlier this week, Steam dropped the all-time price of Grand Theft Auto 5 to only $29.99 in a bid to maximize sales before the launch of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 in October – which is expected to dominate sales charts for the year. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel/prequel to 2011’s Game of the Year winner Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar Games’ first game developed from the ground-up for current-generation consoles.

Grand Theft Auto 5 recently hit 95 million copies sold, going as far as to beat the likes of God of War and Detroit: Become Human in the Top PS4 Games downloaded in June 2018 on the PlayStation Store. The traction behind the game is so incredible that it’s no wonder the game is still receiving major updates to this day – a nightclub-themed update is on the way this month, and Rockstar aren’t stopping there.

So, pick up Grand Theft Auto 5 while you can, the price might not get this low – and if you aren’t in the United States then Amazon might help you. The game is fantastic and definitely worth shelling out 20 bucks for hundreds, if not thousands of hours of fun. Hop in with your friends and race, or go around in director mode and make your own short film using the Rockstar Editor. Either way, one of the best games of the generation is at its lowest price yet – so don’t miss out.

The sale ends July 31st, so be there or be square. If you want more Rockstar goodness, there are multiple editions of Red Dead Redemption 2 to pre-order – read all about the differences between each one and if they are worth it or not in our breakdown here.
