Available as the first reward at the first tier of the Season 2 Battle Pass, Ghost is the newest addition to the roster of Modern Warfare Operators. Joining the ranks of the Coalition, the new Modern Warfare Season 2 Operator is a former SAS soldier and a specialist in stealth warfare. He is the fourth SAS member to make their debut in Modern Warfare since the game’s launch late last year.

“An expert in clandestine tradecraft, sabotage and infiltration” writes Activision; “[Ghost] lives with a redacted past and an undercover present, marked by a concealed appearance to hide his identity and maintain anonymity in the field.”
Beyond that brief character bio, the only things that fans know about Ghost is that he’s an English former member of the SAS. As such, he’s aligned with the Coalition. Ghost is the fourth SAS member to feature as an Operator in Modern Warfare, joining Charly, Otter, and Thorne. Like Mara, the Operator who was added back in Season 1, unlocking Ghost is very easy; all you need to do is purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass. Doing so will unlock this new Coalition Operator for use in your game.
Of course, Ghost doesn’t actually have any tangible in-game advantages over any of the other Operators; his individuality is all cosmetic. However, he does at least offer players a fresh look. (Indeed, a look that also clearly harkens back to the days of Call of Duty: Ghosts.) Along with Ghost, the Season 2 Battle Pass also features two new weapons for players to unlock, both of which are available in the free tiers. (So you don’t need to buy the full Battle Pass to unlock them.) These are the Grau 5.56 assault rifle and the Striker 45 SMG. A third weapon, which is currently being kept secret, will apparently arrive later in the season.
