Gran Turismo Sport Gets New Track and 8 New Cars

A few weeks ago, we talked about Polyphony’s hint at a new update for Gran Turismo Sport. A picture showed some car silhouettes that would be coming to the newest update. The community expected vehicles such as the Honda INTEGRA TypeR, a TVR Tuscan, Ferrari Dino 246, among others.

Well, on January 17, 2019 the new update for Gran Turismo Sport rolled out. The January Update brings 8 new vehicles and a new track for players to race on. Not only that, but the new update will also bring new events.

Gran Turismo Sport's latest update includes 8 new vehicles

Gran Turismo Sport’s version 1.32 update brings 8 new vehicles to the game. Some of them were already expected by fans while others are completely unexpected. Furthermore, the push on this update is focused on classic vehicles rather than on modern ones:

  • Porsche 356 A/1500 GS GT Carrera Speedster ’56
  • Aston Martin DB3S CN.1 ’53
  • Shelby G.T.350 ’65
  • Ferrari Dino 246 GT ’71
  • Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) ’07
  • Honda Integra Type R (DC2) ’98
  • BMW Z8 ’01
  • TVR Tuscan Speed 6 ’00

Polyphony Digital also clarified that there are new events coming to the game. The New Z Heritage races will feature the Fairlady Z Version S. Some other events that will come to the GT League will be Stars & Stripes, X2014 Nations Cup, among others.

Gran Turismo Sport also gets the new Special Stage Route X track. The course is a giant, high-speed oval that measures 18.82 miles (30.283 kilometers) around, and there are just two high-banked corners.
