Halo 6 Confirmed By 343 Industries Job Listing

It’s been a long time since the last installment to the Halo franchise with the release of Halo 5: Guardians back in 2015. Luckily, Microsoft has more in store for us, as a new unnamed Halo 6 project is possibly in development by 343 Industries.

According to a recent job listing by 343 Industries, they are looking for a Lead Graphics Engineer who has a passion for “stunning 60 Hz 4K graphics”. This might seem like a general piece of informationm, however, it clearly points to Halo 6.

According to a new report, Halo 6 will run on the Xbox One X at a resolution of 4K with a framerate of 60FPS. This is exactly what the job listing indicates as well, meaning that Halo 6 might already be in development.

Furthermore, in the job listings section, the company is looking for staff to “drive graphical innovation and produce amazing systems and visuals for our entire future FPS Halo experiences”.

We already knew that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection that is supposed to release soon on Xbox One X is developed by a small team within 343 Industries while the rest of the team works on other Halo projects.

Apart from the collection update and Halo 6, the developing team is also looking to rework on past franchise titles and breath new air to them, as they are still popular on Xbox One consoles even to this date.

Microsoft hasn’t revealed any information about Halo 6 yet, however, a statement from Phil Spencer revealed that all new Gears, Halo and Forza titles will be coming to Xbox Games Pass on launch. That’s another reason to believe that Halo 6 is finally happening.

If Halo 6 is a project to be released this year then we expect to find out more information about at E3 2018, as Microsoft has a big event in store for fans. However, the company’s showcase won’t take place at the E3 2018 venue but at Microsoft’s own theatre.
