Halo Composer Leaves 343 Industries, ‘O Donnel Returns For Halo Infinite?

After a long background story and huge titles with his name on them, Halo composer, Kazuma Jinnouchi, is leaving 343 Industries. With a heartfelt message, he let people know that Halo Infinite won’t be a music project of his. Does this mean that Marty ‘O Donnel is indeed making a comeback for Halo Infinite?

Undeniably, Jinnouichi did an amazing job “dressing” the Halo games with music, even if people have gradiously started disliking the Halo games and the turn they’ve taken. Jinnouchi writes on Twitter: “After an amazing 7-year ride, today is my last day at 343 Industries as an in-house composer. I’m becoming a freelancer and starting a new chapter of my adventure. HUGE thank you to @Halo and the community for letting me do what I love! I wouldn’t be what I am without you.”

Marty O’Donnell has been working with Bungie after their departure from the Halo franchise. Jinnouichi, who had previously worked on the music of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, took over and continued the franchise’s legacy. O’ Donnel was fired after the Bungie’s partnership with Activision for protesting against the partnership and the fact that it was ruining the company culture.

A few weeks ago, O’ Donnel revealed a selfie of him along with Jen Taylor and Joseph Staten. Staten was a writer for Halo 1,2 and 3 while Jen Taylor is the voice of Cortana in all related Halo titles. He also stated later yesterday that there was “nothing random about their meeting”. If this doesn’t point to an Original Halo comeback, we don’t know what is.

We might still be in dark about Halo Infinite right now, however, everything points to possibly the base Halo games since its glory days. That’s something that fans have been patiently waiting for and, as it seems, they’ll be getting rewarded for their support on the franchise.
