Hitman 2 has officially gone gold. Developer Io Interactive recently confirmed the gold status via Twitter, saying that it is excited to ship the game out to fans starting next month.

Hitman 2 has officially gone gold.

Hitman 2 Gold Status

The gold milestone announcement comes mere days after Io released a new trailer for Hitman 2. The trailer shows off one of the game’s brand new locations: a Columbian village called Santa Fortuna. The Santa Fortuna mission will involve Agent 47 having to eliminate three distinct targets, ensuring there will be a lot of potential for players to show off their murderous creativity.

Hitman 2 will have six new locations, but so far only two of them have been disclosed. Aside from Columbia, players will also be sent to a Miami racetrack. Said racetrack will be a bright and vibrant contrast to Santa Fortuna’s rainy, windswept weather. Those who own the previous 2016 Hitman game will also be able to replay all of its locations in the sequel’s client. The updated levels will come complete with the sequel’s updated graphics and gameplay systems. In short, there will be *a lot* of people on Agent 47’s kill list once the game launches next month.

Speaking of Hitman 2’s launch, fans can technically get a taste of the game right now by pre-ordering. All pre-orders grant early access to a level from the game’s built-in Hitman Sniper experience. There are several different editions available for purchase, each with their own perks and bonuses. Some editions come with the game’s expansion pass, and others include exclusive item packs and digital extras.

Also, if you spring for the game’s Gold or Collector’s Edition, you’ll be able to start playing on November 9, four days ahead of the full November 13 launch. If, however, you want to balance out Hitman 2’s subtle, methodical presentation with something that’s a little more…noticeable, Just Cause 4 might be the sort of game you’re looking for.
