How to Beat Thanos in the New Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Fortnite Crossover

Just as it’s simple to become Thanos in Fortnite: Battle Royale, it’s just as simple to defeat him, as long as you use teamwork and join up with other players to take the Mad Titan out. Okay, it might not be easy, per se, but it’s not impossible either, as long as you’re not on your own. If you find a Thanos popping up in your Fortnite game over and over and die as soon as they make their way over to you, here’s a quick rundown of what you can do to try and kill off Thanos before he kills you.

How to Beat Thanos in Fortnite

When you’re playing Fortnite: Battle Royale, you’ll know the exact moment when someone activates Thanos by finding the Infinity Gauntlet on the map. You’ll need only look to find a Thanos icon on the compass at the top of your screen. Essentially, this means you need to keep your guard up, and run if at all possible to somewhere safer, while avoiding other players who also want to kill you.

Thanos is a big and powerful enemy, but he only has three real attacks that you need to look out for: his close-range punch attack, long-range laser blast, and a super jump. He can’t pick up anything or build anything, though. As long as you keep whittling his health away from a safe distance, you’ll eventually get through to the health bar, and that one doesn’t deplete. The best way to start picking off his health bar points? Join a group of players.

If all players join together and work on trying to attack Thanos at a distance instead of focusing on each other for a while (easier said than done, we realize) then Thanos can’t stomp over to everyone and kill them in groups. Because all it really amounts to is a battle of attrition. If you can get past his shield barrier, that means he’ll be going down sooner than later.

Once you’ve worked together with others to successfully bring the player as Thanos down, watch out, because the Gauntlet will immediately fall to the ground for someone else to pick up. If no one grabs it, it’ll just despawn, but that means it’s soon to be coming back to the game via meteor and you’ll start the process all over again. When that happens, remember that there’s strength in numbers — or just go try and get it yourself and skip this frustrating process.
